Any ideas what I can do with some leftover sauce from a chicken casserole? There is no chicken and very little veg in it so basically it is red wine, stock and butter.Grocery Challenge £114.22/ £1100

Personally I'd just freeze it until I next had some leftover meat/mushrooms/onions or whatever then mix it up and have with some rice or potatoesDebt free since December 2015. It can be done0 -

Morning or is afternoon already! I'm looking for some tips to use up creamed sweetcorn, I made a batch of fritters for my DS and it was an ingredient. I am not a fan of sweetcorn so need a recipe suitable for a little one that can be frozen. Thanks in advanceStay at home Mum to DS Oct 2011 and DD Dec 2013

really proud of my self. made 7 portions of soup from veg that was past best. made oat biscuits from store cupboard, made a curry which with rice made the three meals we needed ( smaller portions than normal) and enough for 2 for the freezer. normally we would have used all of it and thrown some away. the rice we measured, it made a tad to much but we ate it all but I will go for slightly smaller portion next time.
so apart from what i threw away this morning before reading this thread nothing else has been wasted today.
thank you for the motivation . still reading previous postsYou can if you think you can .0 -

If it has been frozen all that time, and not defrosted and refrozen, I would cook it up and eat it. Worst case scenario it will have less taste than fresh, but you will presumably cook it with other things to make a bolognese or something anyway.0
