  • Happy New Year!!

I used to post a couple of years ago, but have lost my way :o

One of my resolutions for this year is to get back on the old style wagon so to speak :D

DH and DD are still in bed, I'm just about to go and have a lovely soak in the bath with a book, and then start prepping the veg for today. We are having roast beef, yorkies, roast potatoes, mashed swede/carrot, broccoli, cauliflower cheese, peas, gravy and horseradish sauce - followed by either apple pie or Christmas pud!

Might start taking the decs down today, and will hopefully knit another square for my throw.

Back to work tomorrow (although I've been in and out all over Christmas) will definitely make sandwiches tonight for DH and I for tomorrows lunch (instead of buying lunch everyday )

Looking forward to the darts final tonight!

Hope everyone has a lovely day!
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

Here's to a healthy & happy New Year, might be too much to ask for it to be prosperous as well but we can hope:D
We were in bed not long after 12,we watched all the fire works & lanterns first.
I've put a reduced pork joint in the sc for later on,and we've just had a bacon butty made by DH.Not sure what plans are for today,it's quite nice out but colder than it has been.Didnt see anyone else when I took the hound out for his walk so it was nice and peaceful.I finished one of my Christmas pressie books last night so I can start on another today.

Jools-hope you manage a peaceful coffee at your friends x

Hope you all have a lovely day x

    Happy New Year,
DH and I went out last night and met up with friends but got home about 10.00 as it was getting so crowded, we saw the NY in at home with a glass of bubbly. Raised a glass to absent family & friends.

Bought 4 bags of chopped swede & carrots and 2 bags of chopped onions y/day for 15p each and 6 chicken breasts for £1.10p from Mr.T. Chicken is in the s/c in stock from the turkey, I'll add half of the ys veg and make a couple of pies and take 1 to DD2.
Also got 2 rainbow trout for 1.95 they're in the freezer, I'll have to get DH to take the heads off as I'm a bit bleughhh about doing it.

It's lovely and sunny here so DH will clean the windows as they're filthy. I'll potter in the garden and cut back all the shrubs etc.
Tomorrow I'm going to take the decs down but before they can be stored back in the attics DH is going to put more insulation boards up there.
Well, time to check sc and clean the kitchen.
JOOLS, enjoy your time with DF.
    ((((Hugs)))) to all poorlies.

Happy New Year OS Friends

We stayed in and played Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning on the pc, and Mr LW turned the radio on a few minutes before midnight so that we could hear Big Ben; a bottle of champagne was enjoyed.

Decs will be coming down today - I shan't be sorry to see the back of them, tbh; the lounge also needs a proper dust.;)

Toad in the hole for dins, so that'll be easy.;)

    Hoping that 2013 brings all my friends here everything they wish for;
