I DID get a lot done today, however the place currently. Looks worse for it! AND its floored me!

We have two fridges, DH and I have a half sized one in our part of the house this mainly contains, chocolate, cheese, wine and beer!
The main fridge is in the main kitchen in Dad's part if the house, it is only ever full if we are having a party or at Christmas. There is milk, soya milk, juices and lemon juice in the door. Some jars but only a few, cheese, butter and plus whatever we see about to cook next.. Fruit mainly lives in the bowl and veg in the kitchen basket or the shed.
Not sure why we don't have much in our fridges, DH and I don't eat much dairy, so no yogurt or deserts about the place, Dad's milk comes daily from the milkman. Most of our meat comes out of the freezer so only goes in the fridge for a day. I shop monthly or six weekly (other than fruit and veg) so things tend to get frozen.
Our kitchen needs loads of work, the units are over 20 years old but solid so they will get a tidy up, we need to replace the oven, sink, work tops, tiling and the floor - the floor is really nasty at the moment but it's a huge job that can't really be done with Dad in the house so we just have to live with it. Happy Friday everyone!Piglet

We have a half sized fridge-it's a fridge / freezer. It's old and not very nice really and not big enough for our needs. The kitchen is the same-can't really make the kitchen bigger but it is on our 'to do' list as it desperately needs replacing-it needs redesigning too-I think 'bodge it and scarper' must have designed it and put it it-or rather 'thrown it together'. It all needs re-doing, including the floor, it's  We do need to save up first though-I don't want to 'settle for the cheapest' I'd like to choose what I'd actually like and get it for as cheap as I can. -hopefully next year fingers crossed.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

My kitchen needs doing too. It's clean but seriously dated! We have this awful vinyl flooring which has rucked up where the washing machine has had to be moved a few times and I really dislike it.
It's not high on the agenda though at the moment.
I'm just jealous of our new neighbours, they've not moved in yet but have been doing the house up and their latest project was their drive being block-paved. It really looks great and makes our gravel look... rustic.
Oh to have pots of money!
Oh well we have relatively good health and each other0 -

Are you me? Lol our kitchen is in desperate need of being torn out, and we have the awful vinyl caught up against the washing machine too! Our neighbours have a much nicer condition house (and are generally glamourous in the way they dress and how they live) and I feel a bit like Worzel Gummage next to them.
How the other half live eh!
I took my fridge photo last night but forgot to upload so will do that tonight. I've got a suitcase full of baby clothes to empty tonight as part of the 40 days challenge, wish me luck!"Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it."0 -

I envied our neighbours when we moved into social housing, as they had new carpets, new furniture etc while we had barely anything - until Operation Bumble Bee raided the neighbours and took it all away - another neighbour commented "it was all such lovely stuff coming out of their flat" - well it would be wouldn't it, they wouldn't bother knicking rubbish would they? You never know how far-reaching something good, that you may do or say today, may affect the lives of others tomorrow0 -

Worzel Gummidge was always happy from what I remember

Minimoneyme - welldone for untangling the general feeling of overwhelm and identifying more precisely what it is you need to change at work; a briliant first step to making it happen:T
Today I have been sorting through the crate of doom: this is a crate of stuff left over from the great craft stuff declutter of last weekend that I didn't know what to do with but didn't want to paralyse me from dealing with the rest.
So at the time I just chucked the 'too difficult to decide' stuff in one of those collapsable crates an cracked on with the easier stuff so got a lot done.
I've been tackling it this moring by that most excellent technique, of 'one tiny thing at a time': screw by random screw and scrap of paper. I've probably halved it and had enough for now. Perhaps I will finish it off tomorrow.
On the down side, I rescued a tin I have had for 25 years from the recycle box yesterday just before the collection men came. That's a tine with no lid, that taste wise, I wouldn't buy now. I have put it back in the recycle box now and hope by the next collection in 2 weeks I will have forgotten about it, or let go more.
Took 3 electrical goods for a friend to a c.s that takes them yesterday, and resisted 2 things I really fancied by frog marching myself out of the shop. I still fancy the vase, but am working on the principle I will see others I like and it is hardly a priority need at the mo...where will it go when not in use... and how often do I have flowers anyway?
I am off to London for the afternoon /evening now - very exciting: I have a significant birthday this year and I have asked friends not to buy me presents - I don't need more 'stuff' but individully spend a day with me doing something special and today is the first one (doing one a month, up to the end of summer).:jI try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
I have worked hard at work and at home the past 14 days non stop. It has been great and I've had a brilliant time, but I am shattered. So there is nothing really planned for this weekend. I'm not going to expect to do anything in particular but I will potter around doing bits and pieces.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

Whitening, take a well deserved rest!
I find if I'm too tired I start something big because its niggling me and I know it needs doing then I get half way through, run out of energy and don't finish it. That means I have a bigger mess to cleanup the next day and I also feel cross with myself. Though I do most of my best de cluttering when I'm angry, I know that's not the best way to tackle the problem!
Brighton belle, what a lovely idea for your significant birthday, 6 months of celebrations :j. I'm sure you'll remember those special occasions and treasure the memories far longer than any gift your friends could give you.
Checked my fridge properly last night, nothing too bad lurking, just a box of veg suet that has seen better days. So at least I can say I have one area in my house that doesn't need de cluttering!0
