Piglet, my ex had a stent when he had kidney stones. All went well...

The Georgy FoRman grill has gone, I sold it for a tenner on FB, so although only half of what I originally paid, better than nothing, I've had it since last July cluttering up the place!

Piglet hope OH's op goes well, and it's done soon, nothing worse than waiting around.

Not much in the way of de-cluttering has been happening around here. I went out for the day yesterday. It was DH's cousin's 60th birthday and he wanted to do something different.

So a group of us climbed the roof of the O2 arena!

It's far less scary than it sounds, we were on walkways and had harnesses to make sure we didn't fall off. We got a good view from the top, and we were so busy concentrating on the climb up and our harnesses we forgot to feel cold.

Afterwards we went for a meal, so it was a very nice day.

I've been a bit tired today after being out yesterday, so haven't done much at all. No doubt I'll get my de-cluttering mo-jo back in a day or so, and pick up the momentum again.

Wow, I didn't even know you could do that. Was it scary or fine? It looks good but do you have to be quite physically fit? And would the climbing suits fit short, fat people?

Pit lane piglet. Dericharding is not the most pressing thing for you right now!

But....it might keep you calm once he is in hospital. Just tackle one pile.. Just one of the new ones.

Completely agree with this, be kind to yourself, piglet x.
Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j

Not caught up yet so don't know if it has been mentioned, but on Chanel 4 tonight 8pm Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners, cleaners who have OCD cleaning hoarders houses
"Linda Dykes is a compulsive cleaner from North Wales. She loves cleaning so much she's set up her own cleaning agency.
Linda believes that compulsive cleaners have a special set of skills that could change the habits of the nation, and so she's teaming up with other obsessive cleaners to help clean Britain's dirty homes and filthy public spaces.
Each week these compulsive cleaners are carefully matched with someone whose home is in dire need of a major 'spring clean'."

Don't know if I like the idea, surely it is incredibly stressful for both sides? Will be watching with interest though.

I didn't find it too scary, I was so busy concentrating on the climb, I didn't really think about being about 52 metres in the air!

Our group was aged between 40 and 70 - we are just averagely fit, none of us are superfit or anything like that.

The requirements for the climb are

    Minimum age 10
    Minimum height 1.2m
    Max weight 21 stones
Max measurements - waist 125cm, upper thigh 75cm

So if a person is within those limits, they'll have a jumpsuit to fit.

I'd definately recommend it as something different. A couple of our group weren't keen on heights, but they still were able to do it, and had a real sense of achievement afterwards.

I need one of these people to come and clean for me. Really I do.

Thanks for posting it, mme. I switched it on, although I sort of disagree with it as 'entertainment'.

I have to say that I loved the white house. It really did look spotless.

I would love a deep clean in our house.

I was actually half inspired/half disgusted by the programme. I have just been out and spent an hour cleaning the kitchen, with a bit of help from DH. Found a spare clothes brush that can go, and have put the door mat into the washing machine before I scrubbed the inside back door. Swept/vacuumed the floor thoroughly, chopped the excess off the plant on the windowsill, DH hung up wet washing and packed away the dry.

Kitchen floor needs mopping but that can be done tomorrow. Nice clean smell everywhere and dishwasher is on.

Place looks and feels a lot better considering it was just an hour.

    I have just decluttered lots.

Of chocolate mousse for tonight. Once I had spooned it into the bowls and popped them in the fridge, there was enough left for one big mouthful. Oh it was lush. :D

Chocolate for breakfast. Can't beat it. ;)

Grim old day out there! Will stay home and declutter some more and dream of having a cleaner, one day.

    Sun is shining here.

All I have done so far is put the washing on. But the children are still asleep so the house is still tidy from last night's efforts.
