    Evening all,
Well, with mac, hat and dark glasses on, another sneaky bank tidy up of £11.55 performed!! £11 of bagged up coinage and 55p to round things off. Quidco payment expected any day now, so that will be added also before it messes my totals up again. Hee hee.

  • Hi everyone, got room for another to join in?

The debt I'm trying to tackle is my long outstanding council tax arrears of £600. At the moment I'm paying £70 per month standard CT and £60 to the arrears, so I'd like to get rid of this debt asap as the extra £60 pcm could sure come in handy as the washing machine hasn't long decided to stop washing things in hot water. Grr.

I already made my standard payment this week so I'll be kicking off from Monday looking for a way to pay a little more each week :)
Debt free since 2014 - now saving for a mortgage deposit :heart2:
This time I'm on top of it! We live and learn :coffee:

    Morning everyone :hello:

Yesterday I called the council tax office to see if I had my figures correct at £600 debt outstanding. Turns out all the little over payments I'd been making (and forgetting about) meant it was down to £483! I've paid off this year's CT in full so just chasing my 2007 debt now.

I'd budgeted £40 for this weeks payment to current year and debt but that's gone straight onto the debt instead....... does that still count? If not I'll happily budget my booty off to pull another £10 from somewhere.

Have a great day folks :)

Ok so it's the start of the month and apparently bonus for the end of last year is now being paid in March pay  What a nightmare as I could really have used it this month too :(

Anyway, it's going to be a tight month as I have holiday club to pay for for the boys. Also my Dads birthday and Mother's Day need to find some cheap alternatives for those I think. Oh and the oldest has a birthday party on Saturday! Why is there always something?

Ok that's the moan over with so I have paid all the credit card bills and rounded each one up again to give my overpayment for this week. Not much but better than nothing so an extra £2.05 this week.

    £17.59/£125. So far

    19/02. Cc overpayment £7.79

I've been pretty rubbish logging any weekly over payments but I know that I missed my £125 target by a massive margin :(

    £25.38/£125

Target for march is £100 plus to make an extra payment each week (am diarising - is that a real word :))
