ferf I have told you before, bring him through the u.s. line with you, there are no problems doing that. I have done it with Tracy every single time and they never bat an eyelid. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

We did the brunch at MGM that we got from myVegas. Not the best I have had and the room is quite small, but the Champagne was kept topped up by our server, so full marks for that.
Spent the rest of the day shopping, got in Stir bar about 5 and there was a few Brit guys at the bar. Just in today and they are Elton Johns road crew. Getting him ready for his stint over at Caesars and a set at the I heart radio festival. There are about 20 of them in total and they are always put up at the Platinum by him, they are usually here for a month at a time. Very interesting chatting to them. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. It was 105 degrees today. Thought I saw a cloud in the distance but turned out it was a smudge on my glasses. It is 8:30pm at the moment and still around 100.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. yes we've been doing that for a few years now and they do still quiz one or both of us a bit...but no real issues at all, just business as usual.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
I am never ready to come home from Vegas, but our trip did seem quite long while there. I always keep thinking how long it seems since we arrived, went somewhere on one of the first days etc, and it feels like weeks!!
I'm not suffering from jetlag as I've only slept a few hours and already woken up twice through the night. I forgot it was like this on the way back too. Wish I'd bought some of that stuff from wal-mart that someone mentioned a while back!!!
Can't remember what the stuff from Walmart is for jetlag is we are off in 8 days need to buy some0 -

The last 2 trips I've taken to the US, I've travelled alone - I'm hoping for less of an interrogation next time I go with my mum!
Travelling alone I found it worse at the UK end though - I got picked for every 'random' search at Manchester Airport. I was patted down, my trainers and hand luggage were swabbed, my liquids were tested - I must've looked very dodgy!0 -

Day 7 Wednesday 11th Sept
Breakfast today was just a drink and a scone (almost the size of a dinner plate) which we shared. After that we headed over to the conservatory, they were really cracking on with it, I think they must be working on it 24 hours a day.
We go to the coke bottle/miracle mile shops area today and visit Cheeseburger Las Vegas for lunch/dinner. Decide it’s a good idea to share a meal which we did and none got wasted this time, then head back to get changed for tonights show which is Michael Jackson One at Mandalay Bay.
We set off about 5pm, head through Bellagio to the tram at City Centre as we’re walking through Monte Carlo I happen to mention “oh, last time I had these sandals on it poured down” John chucked me a withering look to say something like “you stupid woman, don’t tempt fate”. We come out of Monte Carlo and yes you guessed it, its raining, but only raining, not chucking it down, so we hot foot it to NYNY.
So through NYNY across the bridge to Excalibur and by now my sandals are wet and squelching! We get to the monorail for Mand Bay and its not working, cause of the rain I guess. The man said it should be back on in about 20 mins, by now its pushing 6pm and we decide we’ll have to walk. Now John drives a lot of miles a year with his work and seems to have some sort of sat nav going on in his head but Excalibur is his Achilles heel, in the past we’ve spent a good few minutes/hours looking for the exit so I’m worried we’ll be late!
Off he strides with his built in GPS radar thingy flashing away and me scurrying and squelching in my soggy sandals behind him and then amazingly in front of me theres a sign saying Luxor, phew, we made it. Before we know it we’re at Mandalay Bay.
This show was the only one I hadn’t booked beforehand, we chose seats towards the back again sec 202 row PP we paid $239.70/£153.00 for 2 tickets. Well what can I say, this show was AMAZING the music was so loud and the lighting was wow, the dancing and acrobatics were awesome (I’m running out of words now). Theres quite a lot of action going on over your head so being at the back was perfect. WE LOVED IT!! I feel like I’ve seen quite a few gigs/shows and next to my beloved Muse this was the best!
After the show we headed up to The Mix lounge which was dead but we didn’t care, we were buzzing after the show. What a perfect show for our last night. We headed back to our hotel, had another do on the slots, got a free drink but only won $10, decided not to cash it in but to keep it for the morning.
Day 8 Thursday 12th Sept
Had our last breakfast at Cafe Bellagio, checked out the conservatory, not finished yet, probably tomorrow, then put our $10 voucher from last night and more in the slots, only won $20 (listen to me now, only $20), then waited for our transport to the airport. Picked up bang on time, no dramas with the hand luggage this time though security. Smooth and uneventful flight home, car where we left it, which is always a relief!!
So to sum up, this was our 6th visit and I reckon it was the best, we’ve had a lot of fun what with amazing shows and our massive (to us) wins. The weather was just right, as I mentioned I’m very fair skinned so for it to be quite cloudy was good for me. We found it was quieter than some of our other visits, we walked straight in to restaurants, even the Cheesecake Factory, but I imagine just after we left it would have got a lot busier with the Floyd Mayweather fight being on. I’ve now got my head full of planning our next visit!

really enjoyed reading the report as it was posted. Someone (not me coz I'm hopeless) should remember where these are and point future posters to them when they say something along the lines of "we're not gamblers so don't know if Vegas is right for us".
we gamble relatively little - on our two previous visits maybe $20-30 dollars each day on slots and one night we went crazy and spent $50 on blackjack in Monte Carlo ($5 table and it lasted 3 hours, or as I like to time it 4 bud lights and 3 vodkas for other half standing watching). With tips it meant we spent less than $70 for 3 hours entertainment and upwards of $40 in drinks.0
