Just noticed this on Groupon. Flavors buffet at Harrah's including drinks (beer, wine or soft drinks). Seems like good value. I'm thinking it's about $26.99 for dinner for one usually! Not the best buffet in Vegas, but I actually quite like it. Possibly because it has a pasta station at dinner :)

•$36.98 for an all-you-can-eat dinner buffet with unlimited beverages for two (a $73.96 value)
•$30.98 for an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet with unlimited beverages for two (a $61.96 value)
•$28.98 for an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet with unlimited beverages for two (a $57.96 value)

As we aren't fussed about beer or wine with our meals the latest buffet deals aren't really that good for us...I can see how they would be for some though...and since we always have a LVA MRB which normally has BOGOFs that works out better for us in terms of value.

Used to be one of my fav buffets, but when tried last year it had gone downhill so much that we vowed not to go again

If I can do it checking in solo at CP ....anyone can do it :)

Had a Forum Tower booked and got Augustus Tower instead which was a very nice upgrade -nicer rooms -bathroom as my friend commented bigger than her living room -fountain view and no trek through the casino to get out onto the Strip.

Think of it as your first Vegas gamble of the trip :D

Reviews seem to indicate male receptionists in their twenties are the most open to this....but mine was a lady in her sixties who didn't bat an eyelid when I asked.

I wonder how much extra they earn per day that way?!

Will give it a try!

and more importantly, what was the 'band's' name?

I am really amused by this whole thing...I think it's hilarious (and maybe a bit brilliant).

Or more importantly, which one of you was 'the drummer'? I always seem to like the drummer best in bands :rotfl:

Thanks for the heads up on the Delta/Virgin flights. Just booked for next March/April/May for £538 each vs £614 on Virgin. £152 extra in the gambling kitty.

Just been reading page 1 and wondered if anyone knows anything more about the review of the MAN-LAS route??

(nb. Virgin flights from Manchester are suspended 27 Oct 2013 - 27 Mar 2014, during which time the route will be reviewed, and may not be continued)

Currently we can book Virgin flights for May 2014 through Delta for £611.00 which seems a decent price for direct, I was wondering what would happen if the route was cancelled - would they cancel our flight with notice or would they been obliged to get us there via Gatwick and get us to Gatwick?? The regulations on this are confusing!!
If we wait to see what happens then the Thomas Cook flight may be a lot more expensive than if we booked it now.

I notice others seem to have booked with Virgin for 2014, are you worried??
Not worried at all. If you book through Delta and Virgin cancel the flight, you will be moved to an indirect Delta flight or get your money back.

Whats a good price for direct flights to vegas these days?

Been a couple years since i been vegas so trying to get an idea what a good price is these days.

Think last time i paid about £550 each.

Looking for next year and found flights for around £720...is that a fair price?
