ah scrap that! for our trip now, i've changed the day to the following (a Friday @ 15:30 instead of originally the Thursday we wanted to drop off on (also at 15:30)) and for £20 more (for the extra 24 hours), I can now drop off @ TI!

Might just do that to save the hassle of getting back to the strip, even though its gonna cost a few more quid :)

Seems very odd availability to be honest - nothing obvious unless they're just open on occasional days in the afternoons now??

I have just tried all times on may2nd for a pick up and it is only giving me swenson st or airport. interestingly its also a thursday

I give up, changing the day to wed or fri made no difference TI still not showing

That hopefully explains all the oddities we've seen...weird as last time I picked up in the morning and had a 45 min wait in the queue they said that the mornings were their busiest times as people wanted to get their cars and head out for the day...strange that they are limiting them to mostly afternoons.

I'm hiring the std SUV (Ford escape) from Dollar from the airport for 5 days......
However, am really hoping that when i arrive at the garage and pick my own car, they let me have the big 7 seater SUV !! :D:D
I'm a dollar express member with 3 prior bookings from Vegas and Orlando back in 2011, so hope the staff are in a good mood on the day i collect!!! :D:D

Helpful of TI to keep their info up-to-date :) ...it was just baffling me how we were all getting different answers so much so I had to try to figure it out...we have picked up on Weds and Friday mornings before, last couple of trips...so must be a recent change.

I am just so pleased that we can pick up there in March..I have gotten used to taxi from the airport now and not having the faff of picking up the car only to valet it for the night once we get to the hotel...I was going to miss that!

If you want that sort of an upgrade you probably want to tip the person who points you to which section of cars you can pick from...I don't think being an Express member or having rented 3x will do it.

That said, if they are out of the type of vehicle you have reserved, you could get lucky...but a tip would probably give the best chance of the result you're after if not.

I was looking up car rentals and was struggling to get TI, so at least I know how to do that now. Not quite ready to book our car, need ot decide how long we want it for first.

Thanks for the Grand Canyon suggestions, looking up some stuff now. :)

We're on a booking mission today!

    re: MGM Signature
(and I apologise, I know its been talked about loads before but having no joy with search function :( )

Which tower is best? It seems Tower 3 is closest to MGM Grand, but i'm aware that each one has different 'facilities' (tho unsure what the differences are)

I'm also aware there are quicker ways to the strip (sure someone said about coming out at Planet Hollywood) - which tower would be best for that?

Don't have long to book it (so trying to do it by the end of the day)

Any information would be really appreciated :)

    Many thanks in advance!
