  • We're staying at Vdara this summer too - we paid £970 each for 11 nights with direct Virgin flights from Manchester. We booked through lowcostusa.com when there was a Virgin flight sale on. We looked at lastminute, who initially appeared cheaper but they didn't include the resort fee in their prices whereas lowcostusa did - just something to be aware of :)

    Hi Hallster11,

I am staying at vdara this year, indirect flights, 1202 per person for 2 weeks (not sure if yours is per person or for all of your party?)

We did grand canyon last year and paid £200 before we actually went to vegas as didn't want to miss out, i am glad i did as we went for 5 days last year and couldn't of booked in the time we was there, if it is essential to you i would pay the little bit more before you go and then you know you have it booked.

Taxi too hotel is around $14 so not expensive, drinks vary depending where you drink. You can pay $8 for 2 drinks or $25 depending where you want to drink. We drank mostly at some bars in the day and a few drinks at night in different hotels have a look on hotel websites at menus

Hi MK55, any advice on who to book the tour with? I'm not sure of trustworthy places so anyone you used would be a good start for me :) Thanks!

  • Hi

I visited LV for the first time last year and paid £840 for 7 nights MAN-VEGAS staying at the Vdara thru lowcostusa. Cannot fault the Vdara at all being non smoking but only a short walk from the strip (via Bellagio). Canyon trips can be booked at the hotel or lots of places on the strip. We paid around £100 each for a south rim tour, picked up at 7.30am and dropped off about 12 hours later - chose a small tour operator (can't recall the name) but they use large
people carriers (max 8 people) so much quicker and more comfortable than a bus trip - there were only 5 on our trip and we got to stop off on Route 66 and a few other places as and when decided.
Drinks costs - varies wildly. Sat at the slots in the Bellagio = free good red wine. 2 beers at the Vdara = $18 albeit with good service and nibbles. Imperial Palace (I think) = $1 beers/frozen margaritas. ENJOY!!

    Hi,

I book every year with expedia never had an issue. They are always helpful. I've (touch wood) never been delayed I know this isn't expedia's doing but it makes me go back.

Ta Luci - just bought the lunch buffet. Our meal plan is getting a wee bit overloaded but, as it works out at less than £12 each, we can always just grab some token snacks and use it as a cheap drink stop!!

You're welcome, glad it was of use.

We have gone for the dinner buffet as it was very good last year and I don't normally like dinner buffets. The unlimited drinks are wasted on us as I normally have one glass of wine with a meal and sometimes struggle to finish that. That said, I have paid $18 for a very small glass of wine in Vegas before so even that one glass would make it worthwhile.

Did anyone here get the Paris buffet in their email? I finally got it today, but it could have been sold out by the time it arrived.
  • I still haven't had it in my email, couldn't find it on the site either, thank goodness for people posting links!
