  • Thanks Ferf, that was going to be my next question! So, I assume, if you stick your player's card in the machine while you're playing and you play quite a lot....when you check out, you might have accumulated enough credits from your play to pay for some of the stuff you've charged to your room?

I'm not hugely familar with MGM's club and how it works...

I know that you stick your card in the machine and you earn credits as you play...you earn express comps (points you can use to pay for stuff directly a restaurant, etc. and maybe you can use these points to clear some charges to your room - not sure as we haven't stayed at any of their properties for ages - always use our express comps for food directly at the restaurant or Starbucks it seems)...

you also earn points toward freeplay - so you can exchange those points at the machine for more slot play - there used to be a minimum, so if you didn't have enough points to reach that value of freeplay you couldn't redeem, not sure if that is still the case...

beyond that, I'm not sure...I do not really know how they deal with any additional discretionary comps above what your actual points may be worth...to be fair I don't really know how CET deals with this either other than a few times they have given us more than what we could cover with points - so they must have made some sort of discretionary call...it can't hurt to ask, I say...worst case is they will look at your card and say 'you have $x in express comps we can apply'. and that's that.

He get's really fed up of me going on there, i'm sick of it too and I just hope I can something out of it, as they keep moving the goal posts, lol. I actually stopped for a while, but then thought, i may as well :)

  • Thanks again Ferf, I really appreciate your response. Third trip this time and yet I'm a complete newbie in a lot of ways!!

Traveller, if you're playing on your son's account I'm pretty certain rewards can only be claimed in his name and must be redeemed by him. Obviously that's fine if you're going together

Hi, he is going with me but he is not 21  far from it :o Should I stop playing? Help!!!

I've actually just checked the terms and conditions and yes, i think i'd better quit now as there is no way we could redeem them! Oh well, at least i've realised now. It's a pity my ex isn't coming as he had the dame name as my son, lol!

Just wanted to pop in and say hi, followed for well over a year as I went to Vegas last year with work. As no real time to explore and enjoy it fully, I eventually convinced hubby that Vegas was the way forward for a break :D

We are flying from Madrid in 2 weeks, and getting well excited! We have done the MyVegas for quite some time, thanks to this thread, so thank you to the person who first mentioned it! With shows, 4 nights at the Aria and plenty of food credits, it certainly helps the budget.

It is the first time we are doing hotel hopping, so that should be interesting (1 night Madrid, 1 night @ Platinum, 4 nights Aria, 3 nights Marriott Anaheim and finally 1 night @ the 4 Seasons). Hubby should have fun updating his TripAdvisor reviews, that is for sure :p

Anyway, I wondered if anyone has done CSI experience in both NY and in Vegas? Do the compare, or is something a bit different to each of them?

One last thing, I know it was mentioned before about the Bellagio buffet from MyVegas, it is a bit hit and miss if you can pay extra for the w/e buffet or the dinner service, so maybe leave yourself the option of going for lunch if they refuse.

Sorry for rambling a bit, but oh so excited!!!

And last but not least, a HUGE THANK YOU to all who contributes to this thread! I love waking up every morning, to find the daily update in my inbox, with a cuppa and read all the comments from the previous day:)

Does anyone know if you can merge restaurant.com gift cards?
I have two separate gift cards with only $10 value on each

agree...sorry...also, I was about 99% sure you were not a man but sometimes I get gender confused here...and I know there are a few names that can go either way so that's why I asked if you had the same name.
