Does anyone know if you can merge restaurant.com gift cards?
I have two separate gift cards with only $10 value on each

I can't remember if you can use gift cards to buy gift cards and don't have any to test it but maybe.

I also get confused about the value of gift cards - are the cards worth $10, or will they buy a $10 certificate each...if the latter then there may not be much benefit in merging them since certificates are mostly $10 or $25.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    good point!
I will find somewhere to use them - we are flying in and out of san francisco so have plenty of stopovers to look at using them

Hi, he is going with me but he is not 21  far from it :o Should I stop playing? Help!!!

I've actually just checked the terms and conditions and yes, i think i'd better quit now as there is no way we could redeem them! Oh well, at least i've realised now. It's a pity my ex isn't coming as he had the dame name as my son, lol!
Can't you change the name on the Facebook account to yours when you're ready to redeem, then redeem under it, then change it back? :)

Tho if my mum wanted to do that with my account, I wouldn't be happy ;)

Why not setup an account for yourself? It'd be frustrating starting from scratch but could be worthwhile :)

You can link any Mlife account to any Facebook account. Once its done it can't be changed. All the people with odd names manage to redeem things. The only problem might be with the age part.
  • Snagged my final MyVegas reward yesterday. I've got 2 x Bellagio buffets, $75 drinks credit at Times Square (NYNY), $150 dinner for two at Tender and $50 credit at Rock & Ritas. Really, really pleased with that, obviously it's taken some time but I tend to just have the reels spinning on my laptop while I'm watching tv or something so it hasn't felt like too much of a slog. I've been playing since late August but I had a very slow start and about 6-8 weeks when I barely looked at the game. Thanks to Baza52 if you're still around on here for telling me about the game :)

It sounds a bit daft really but I wanted to go to the Bellagio buffet on our first visit 10 years ago - looks like I'll finally get there third time around! Also, we've never been in a bar in Vegas before  Always relied on free cocktails while playing and as we tend to mostly eat at buffets or i-Hop, I've rarely even had a drink with a meal there. Thanks entirely to MyVegas we'll be eating in a very nice restaurant (Tender, not R&R haha!) and drinking copious amounts of alcohol in an actual bar on this trip (DH has a $75 credit for Times Square too)

I also found something out this morning that's raised my excitement levels even higher (I worry I'm going to explode sometimes :) )....the year before last, DH won a £50 Spafinder voucher that he gave me and I forgot to use. Turns out they're accepted in the spa at Vdara, so I shall be indulging in a ridiculously over-priced hotel massage on this trip too :j

Well done Saffstar,I am well jell!!!!
  • Thank you :) Looking forward to being more relaxed about spends on this trip thanks to the stuff I've learned on this thread - MyVegas, Restaurant.com, etc etc.....whether I'll actually be able to get over my deeply ingrained thriftiness/tightness remains to be seen haha!

    Hi guys

Looking at booking our first trip to Vegas and have found a deal for a 4 night stay at Vdara plus direct flight from Gatwick for £1400 through Last Minute. Does that seem a good deal?

Having a quick flick through this great thread it appears that the Vdara is well liked by some regulars. Are there any others that I should be considering?

    A couple of other questions:-

Want to take a trip to the Grand Canyon - what sort of price do I need to take in to account for that?
How much would a taxi be from the airport (or do Vdara include a shuttle in their price)?
How much are the drinks in the hotels/bars/casinos?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Hallster11,

I am staying at vdara this year, indirect flights, 1202 per person for 2 weeks (not sure if yours is per person or for all of your party?)

We did grand canyon last year and paid £200 before we actually went to vegas as didn't want to miss out, i am glad i did as we went for 5 days last year and couldn't of booked in the time we was there, if it is essential to you i would pay the little bit more before you go and then you know you have it booked.

Taxi too hotel is around $14 so not expensive, drinks vary depending where you drink. You can pay $8 for 2 drinks or $25 depending where you want to drink. We drank mostly at some bars in the day and a few drinks at night in different hotels have a look on hotel websites at menus

have you read the first posts.

Any hotel is worth considering depending on what you want to pay. Direct flights vary in price but are usually around £600 pp these days.

    Drinks are free while gambling.

4 days? its not long enough IMO especially if you want a day out to the Canyon. It takes the first 2 days to get over jet lag
