Bally's Sterling Brunch is a brilliant idea - thank you! It's something I've wanted to do for 10 years (since we first went to Vegas) so we might have to join them. Really like that idea and it's right on budget - thanks"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

My trip in three weeks has hit a speed bump. Flybe called me yesterday to say the flight I had already booked and paid for from Glasgow to Manchester was now cancelled and there are no other options that day, all they could offer me was a refund. Luckily, this flight was due on April 20th and I don't fly to Vegas till the 21st but I will now have to get a bus or train to Manchester and cancel the plans I had as it wil be much later in the day I arrive. I may also have to change my hotel for the night in Glasgow from the one near the airport to a more central location. Do I have a case for getting compensation due to the inconvience they are causing me?
I dont think so as they have given you more than 2 weeks notice.
There is a sticky thread though in the flight section about delay and cancellation compensation0 -

Me again - I'm full of questions today!
When we go to Vegas in a few months, my brother and sister-in-law are coming too - it's their first time there. They both turn 30 before we go and are both foodies so I was wondering about booking them a nice meal while we're there as their present (or buying a gift voucher that they could use). I looked at the tasting menu at GR Steak but it's $290 which is a bit more than I'd like to spend - not being tight but don't want to end up with them feeling like they have to spend loads on us next time - present tit-for-tat can be dangerous haha! Does anyone have any suggestions for somewhere that would cost maybe £60-£70 per person tops?
Or any alternative suggestions are welcome for something couply that doesn't involve food....or smut, as that would be hideously inappropriate!! Thanks xx
£70pp = $105. They could still go to Gordon Ramsay Steak and stay on budget. Our steaks were $52-54, sides around $12, desserts $12, cocktails $12-15, beer $7-10.
Another one would be Alize at the top of Palms and they do tasting menus are well as regular menus.
I agree that Bally's Sterling Brunch would be a good option if they like champagne.0 -
I meant to post about this earlier and forgot.
The Silverton have a promo going on (it may have been going on for ages, not sure).
If you sign up for their players club and earn 50 points that day you get a voucher for a free buffet - voucher has no expiry.
I swear I had signed up before but they couldn't find me so we both signed up again...we were going to have the (lunch) buffet anyway and were signing up so we could use the BOGOF in the LVA Member Rewards Book...we were going to have a slot golf hole at Silverton anyway so were going to play at least $20 each and both earned 50 points well before our $20 each stake was gone...since we were going to play there anyway we certainly lost nothing specifically to get a 'free' buffet so we were happy.
In the end decided to use the LVA BOGOF as it does have an expiry and put the free vouchers away for another trip.
Very good buffet, we think...hubby is still talking about the beef brisket.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Normally no r.com discount codes available for the first few days of the month.0

Why is it, when ever I try to exchange a voucher for a strip burger one it says it's out of stock, yet clearly in stock if I want to use money  ? Anyone else find this.:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0

Annoyingly it seems that you can't use egift card credit for Stripburger (at least I can't now)...I can see the $25 certificates available through regular channels but they say they are sold out when I go through redeeming an egift card...which were exchanges from old certs I never used.
I remember when some of us bought the $100 gift card with an 80% off code (thanks to someone who posted that deal here) we found the same - seemed that there was a limited number of certain vouchers available via the side of the site where it takes you when you redeem a gift card.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
