I found the GN pool area very cramped last time we stayed there. The sunbeds are jammed together like sardines. We stayed twice, in May and October. Didn't even bother going to the pool the second time.

if you have a cabana though, it'll be fine. you'll have use of the pool above the shark tank which is much quietier.

yes the sunbeds are close together but we found it okay in april on a weekday. mind you this was april so perhaps not as popular as may/october. it was very hot though!

Just reading some old posts on Eater LV - am MORTIFIED to find out the Cold Stone Creamery has been replaced by Yoghurtland inside Excalibur. I absolutely adore CSC so am now going to have to drive off strip to get it...grrrrr so annoying! Can someone who's visited recently confirm this has deffo happened please?

    um.
    WHAT?!

    that's tragic...just tragic.

I have looked at the locations map on the company's website and it seems to support this information...sad...there are others, but that one was particularly convenient.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

well, that is true...I actually put it on the planner - pick up car at TI, Luv It Frozen Custard, Walmart on Charleston...perfect!

I laughed at "Definitely need that car for full 2 weeks now"

and "Yoghurtland! Please!" was exactly my sentiments.

Thing is, we regularly end up at Excalibur/Luxor our last day before our flight...we check in and dump the cases, then head back for a few hours before the flight home...usually this culminated in a CSC...sad.

Luv It is on our list this year (has been on last three visits though) but maybe even more so now....have also read there is a gelato on the top floor of the new Bouchon bakery in the Venetian so will be trying that out too. However....nothing beats chopped up ice cream so will have to venture off piste as it were

Can anyone recommend any rooftop/high floor spots for a good view of strip? Preferably free but don't mind paying if it's within a bar or restaurant though.
