Tresemme luxurious moisture shampoo and conditioner - WMBA if it was on offer, but have tons of shampoos in the stash and if I ever need to buy anymore I would like to try Paul Mitchell as it is not tested on animals

Just looked up which companies do test on animals still and was surprised to see that a lot of cosmetic companies still do!
  • I was weak.

    Prime Time for eyes.
    Lip gloss.

    = tenner.

I haven't done my inventory. I haven't used up anything apart from soap!

    Nevertheless she persisted.

You have just got me thinking roguey - I have lots of essential oils that I was given one year in a gift set. They smell lovely but I don't really know what to do with them?! Excuse my dimness!!

I assume it would be nice with a few drops of them in the bath or added to a plain body lotion. What other suggestions do people have?

I follow the rules set out here: http://www.your-aromatherapy-guide.com/blending-essential-oils.html

I've also put essential oils in body lotions but I don't generally like the base lotion you can buy, and prefer body oils.

I also burn oils in a classic burner, or in my aromastone - a pug in device that gently warms and disperses essential oils in the way a classic candle driven burner does.

The other thing I will do is put drops of oil on cloths or bedclothes. If I have trouble sleeping I used to put a couple of drops of frankincense oil under my pillow where I wouldn't touch it. I have to be more careful now though, as OH suffers asthma and strong scents can affect his breathing.

me too, whether I need it or not! :rotfl:

I just rent a lawn mower, gets the job done quicker :D
  • Just had a UU. My hands are quite dry and sore in this weather, so I've slapped a load of hand cream on and they've lapped it up. I think I might need to put more on later!

UU: Vaseline Essential Moisture Hand Cream, 75ml - WBA definitely but will be a good girl and use my other hand creams up first :)

Ooh will have to look into the aromastone - sounds great. Thanks for all the tips.
  • UU
lush brazen honey face mask - lost track of time when I put this on and left it too long so skin feels a little tight at the moment

    TA (inadvertant)
Fanta blackcurrant lipbalm - dropped my handbag and this spilled out and smashed WNBA didnt like the smell or taste. No need to buy a replacement as my daughter has loads of partially used ones.

To Kiplingmonkey - my 7 year old has fine tangly hair many tears have been saved by the use of Elvive conditioner (its in a pink bottle specifically for fine hair so moisturises without the lank look of many conditioners) and one light spray of macadamia healing oil spray a wide tooth comb and then a normal brush. We didnt get on with tangle teaser at all.
    No more buying toiletries
  • One UU: Poundland own brand Nail Polish remover - WIBA? No, although you get 400ml for a pound I found it akin to paint stripper as it left my toe nails looking very dehydrated but it was effective in removing more stubborn nail varnishes such as deep colours and those with sparkles in them.

Most say this challenge has brought out the girly side in me. I'm wearing lip gloss and nail polish more than I did in my teenage years lol.
  • Love brazened honey, tried to buy it the other week but when I went to put it on I had cosmic catstrophoe which Im not a fun of, gutted, I def had the right one in my hand but must have got muddled with whatever the girl at the till was doing:(

A UU of a vanilla soap, an orange soap out the stash for a bit of colour.
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales
