£70 from Quidco to take a Plusnet package

I ordered Plusnet via TBC mid-January. Supposed to receive a £70 cashback but didn't track properly, and Plusnet are not progressing it.
I think they are just playing games, and a large number of cashbacks are not tracking properly...0 -
I ordered Plusnet fibre broadband on 8th Jan 2013 and as my Quidco did not track raised a claim on 11 Jan.
My BB was installed on 1st Feb and I still have no cashback with Quidco telling me Plusnet claims can take four months.
BTW I was very careful, as I always am, to make sure cookies were cleared and I only used Quidco links to go to PN.
Give it time.
A claim has been raised, it can take 4 months to be paid.0 -

I agree that (Quidco) are just playing games delaying the payout. I told Quidco the day after purchase that the tracking was incorrect and tracked at £38 only. Quidco did nothing except say that it should be corrected when purchase confirmed. The cashback wasn't corrected so I submitted a claim. Only now, more than two months after purchase, have Quidco said they have advised Plusnet and then they go on to say look on the website for timescales for payment; i.e. another two months I guess to wait... and Plusnet are supposed to be "Faster Paying".
Plusnet are clearly doing themselves no favours by upsetting customers. I would rather Plusnet offer customers special deals and avoid the hassle of Quidco.0 -

Effectively:
£4.99 per month BB
£10.49 per month Line Rental
Total Monthly Cost - £15.48
My Quidco has tracked but at £38 and not £70. The Quidco website says:
£70 Exclusive Rate expires in a Day for Unlimited, Unlimited Fibre and Essentials Fibre packages.
I know that sometimes cashback tracks at a lower value and is confirmed at a higher value, but there is no mention of this on the webpage.
I've queried why this has tracked at £38, but wondered if anyone elses has tracked at less than expected?
Dreamypuma, you signed up on the same day as me and we both got our purchases via Quidco tracked at £38 instead of £70. Plusnet are currently denying my £70 cashback. Have you had your £70 or only £38 or nothing yet?0 -
I took the same deal via Quidco on the same weekend of the £70 offer and it didn't track at all so raised a claim with Quidco.
On the 2nd of Feb got this really unusual email from Quidco:
02 Feb 13 at 06:46
We're delighted to tell you that your Plusnet cashback claim has been approved and now we're just waiting for them to confirm your cashback.
Once your cashback is confirmed and received by Quidco, we'll update your claim to "confirmed" status in your Activity Page.
Since then a fat 0 from the fast paying system, what a joke.
I find that in last two years I use the cashback sites less and less as they simply fail to get you the cash, it is a lot of hassle to keep an eye on them all the time as they don't actively do so.
I find that for my needs shopping search engines and comparison sites do the job.Five exclamation marks the sure sign of an insane mind!!!!!

I got £50 from Orange after originally being declined but put in another claim and they reversed it.
I got my £38 from quidco at the end of October from an August order. It was another claim that I submitted as it never tracked, but they paid it out.0 -

Plusnet marketing are apparently saying that Plusnet were never paying £70 cashback via Quidco for unlimited broadband and phone at the time of these early January purchases. Only the end of January purchases are apparently legitimate. So does that mean that all of us who purchased from Plusnet in early to mid January are the victims of a mis-selling scam by Quidco? I am going to ask Quidco for a response to see what they say.0 -
...and all Quidco say is "£70 cashback was on offer for your purchase... it will just take time for Plusnet to confirm your claim".
I'll let everyone know in two more months if Quidco have paid the cashback due from the January purchase.
Meantime, you can see Quidco's payment stats for Plusnet - 8% of us will have waited up to 6 months (180 days) for payment. Some of this is the 30 day hold by Plusnet before they send off a claim and Plusnet may also apply a 30 day additional payment hold - on the Plusnet customer forum there are even instructions that tell Plusnet customers to wait at least 30 days before approaching Plusnet or Quidco and that's after we've found out there's a problem! As Kite2010 says "it takes four months for a claim to be paid". It just seems like they're deliberately delaying payment to some of us to spread their marketing budget over a couple of quarters.
Insiders are invited to tell us exactly how the 'affiliate' marketing scheme for Quidco is operated. For example, does the marketing division issue a contract for a minimum number of customer signups in a given period and only if that target is met does it pay out? If it didn't pay out then that would account for customers not getting cashback. In this hypothetical scenario, Quidco can state it didn't get paid and it can legally get away with not paying us even though a mis-selling case might be argued.
A similar marketing strategy operates in the car sector - Car retailers are often given large bonuses if they take a minimum number of vehicles from the manufacturer. Retail cashback inducements to customers disappear as soon as it looks like the retailer can reach the bonus threshold.0 -
Thought I will update this thread.
Last week in the May payment run I was finally paid the £70 from Plusnet.
It took six month and about eight emails to drag Quidco screaming and shouting to get this paid.
The conclusion for next year provider search is to get a good price without the hassle of cash back.
Unless you have a lot of time on your hands to keep a close eye on them you will not see a dime.
How things worked out:
1. Took the £70 offer in Dec 2012
2. Not tracking (but other purchases from ebay via Quidco on the same day did, so it is not a local browser issue)
3. Waited a week and nothing happen so sent an email to Quidco
4. Got a reply two weeks after to say they will chase it
5. Nothing at the beginning of Feb 2013 so sent another email
6.Nothing at the end of Feb 2013 so sent another email
7. Got response on the last day of Feb 2013 that my claim was approved by quidco and now they chase Plusnet
8. Nothing at the beginning of april 2013 so went on the new online help chat facility on the Quidco site and spoke for one hour to one of their agents which eventually after checking everything said that I will need to put another claim so their claim team can process it and pay.
9. did that and put another claim
10. Got paid £70 -£5 (quidco annual fee) on the last day of April 2013
Well Quidco, no more, thanks but I am leaving.Five exclamation marks the sure sign of an insane mind!!!!!
