Which Dyson to buy?

I love my DC25 Ball. Best vacuum cleaner I've ever had.0

Well, I'm fortunate in that I have never had any of the problems you report since my purchase of the DC01 in the mid-1990s so that's why I'm sticking to Dyson - in spite of all the (I'm sure) well-meaning advice to buy another cleaner.
I'd like to thank the people who actually answered my question.
how many dysons have you had over the last 15-20 years, just the one?
I suppose a lot comes down to how much use it gets and how much dirt it is having to deal with.0 -
Dyson's will usually last for years as long as the filters (both of them) and cyclone are maintained. Blocked filters are the main reasons that they overheat and die.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Mine was rather abused by me (used to sweep concrete floors while decorating/renovating) but replacement parts are easy to find, and I will replace the soleplate, brush bar and wheels as they have bitumen on them. I have partially disassembled it and it looks well built, nothing obviously weak. I suppose if you are not at ease replacing bits yourself, then availability of parts does not matter.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0
