With the greatest of respect to you betting odds can, and does cloud ones imagination of the real problem, and on many occasions can mean nothing but figures that can give a false picture. Many times it is a way of being brain washed.
Only in my opinion of course as I never had much faith in predictions.0 -
If the Torys formalise the offer of a referendum on EU membership it could get interesting, I can't see Labour following suite which might put them against a popular majority.0

If labour gets back in it shows what a horribly short memory the electorate have.
A large part of the reason we are in so much trouble is due to these morons spending as much money as they can to buy votes without any thought to the consequence.
God help us all if they get back in.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
It would help in the short term, although Boris may not be seen to be quite so charismatic if he had to make lots of unpopular decisions.
Granted the present govt. is seen as rich, Eton educated elitists out of touch with ordinary folk. A gift for Red Ed at PMQ's who fosters the rich v poor agenda at every opportunity.
The General Electorate will be met with a barrage of choices from all parties and will remember only the last five years of government. There will be a great number of the GE who will not wish to face the hard facts that we have to face in order to have stability in our economy, it is not in their nature to do so, they want it now, not in the future.
I do not think that that the 'posh boys' as they have been dubbed, can be expected to understand what 'to want' is, in the same terms as they know it. Their want is to retain, and build on their riches at all costs, usually at the cost of the person in the street.0 -
It will be a tough election to call, even though labour left the mess folk even though they acknowledge we need cuts don't accept them. I think going for another labour gov would be a bad move especially with balls in no11 I do have have a jingle for their election campaign though!

I agree, Ivader. Certainly Labour are committed to Europe and will eventually go into the Euro (not my "opinion", Peter Mandelson stated this on television). Just a matter of when, not if.
Thankfully, Labour did have the 5 key points that prevented us from going into the Euro during their government.0 -

Why not do some research into Ed Milibands affairs. You'll find his house is worth around £2,000,000. Him and his wife earn around £330,000 p.a. between them
Interesting that after his father died he entered into a 'deed of variation' with brother David which saved the family a huge chunk of Inheritance Tax.
I guess he'll never have to rely on food banks eh?If I don't reply to your post,
you're probably on my ignore list.0 -

Maybe so.
However, I also doubt whether any member of the shadow cabinet have ever gone hungry or ever had to rely on wonga.comIf I don't reply to your post,

It makes people like myself thinking 'Who can we trust that have not gone down the same path as the ones that you mention' plus the many that have been caught and those who will be waiting for the knock on the door.
It is so easy to pick up on the faults of others that are not in your party and at the end of the day does not help matters.0
