actually there are many ingredients that are so much rich in calories and a vegan can eat them! Nuts, bananas or peanut butter for example!! And don't forget the vegetable fats. If you eat 6 meals per day, you just need 670 cal/meal which is evitable, i suppose!

In my case its a piece of cake to eat 3000-3500 calories/day without eating meet

Hi comfis, would you mind saying what you would eat on an average day please for breakfast, lunch and dinner and snacks? Thanks

I can say I disagree with this eat less exercise more approach. I don't think it works for everyone, me included.

At the moment, I go to the gym 3 times a week. I work up a good sweat & over the last 6 weeks or so have included weights into my routine. I also walk my dog for an hour twice a day 7 days a week.

For the last 2 weeks I have been trying the eat little & often approach & I still haven't lost anything. I have pretty much cut out the carbs & if I have eaten any carbs, I have reduced the portions. Have included more veg, avoided the quorn & have been making my own bolognaise sauce. Also have been making a point of including more eggs in my diet too.

Am also drinking a lot more water then ever.

To be honest I'm starting to think that one shoe doesn't fit all & losing weight is a trial & error thing. I find it very depressing as I can't even lose lb a week. I was also really careful xmas & specifically asked people not to buy me chocolates or sweets. Didn't even have an xmas dinner or xmas pud.

Going to attempt to make smoothies tho' & class them as a meal to see if that helps.
if you ask me i am confident that if you also don't forget to each MUCH protein and also don't leave yourself without a snack for more than 3 hrs, in a matter of 2-3 months you will notice a replacement of fat from muscles! no matter if you lose pounds, this replacement will make you look much more great

For breakfast i eat a toast (turkey gouda), a cup of coffee, a banana and usually a sweet (probably chocolate or cake or something). Breakfast should be the best meal of the day!

3 hrs later i eat a yoghurt, or a sandwich, or an apple!

3 hrs later its time for lunch! I try to include veggies in my lunch!

1 hr later i drink my afternoon coffee (including a sweet, for example peanutbutter with sugar and bread, or some biscuits)

3 hrs later eat carbs (for example a bar of cereals) in order to have energy for my afternoon work out or sports. After the exercise its time for a protein snack (yoghurt, milk etc)

2 hrs later its time for my dinner (and i have to admit this is not a poor dinner :P )

This is how it goes for me!

There definitely isn't one diet for everyone, we all have different needs.

Could there be any medical reasons for you not losing weight if you are exercising and eating healthily?

Do you feel good? Do you feel tired, bloated?

If it was me I would go to doctor and maybe ask them to check for thyroid issues or if there is any other reason for not losing weight.

I would also have a colonic and take probiotics as well but I appreciate this isn't for everyone ;)

The thing I have learned about weightloss is that you sometimes have to have faith. It seems like nothing is happening and then whoosh all of a sudden you lose 2lbs overnight. For now the most important thing is to be honest with yourself, make sure you don't have any hidden habits that you're not realising are impacting on your weightloss (like maybe you don't exercise at all, or maybe you're having sugary drinks or like a couple of glasses of vino in the evening?? not saying you do this, just that these are things people often miss out on) I'd suggest keeping a food log on myfitnesspal or similar to make sure you're noting everything down. But assuming you are doing it all right, the weight loss will happen, just hang on in there!

How many calories did you consume in the last month?
    !!
    > . !!!! ----> .
  • I don't keep a count of calories. I am also very honest about what I eat & drink. No point trying to lose weight unless you are honest about the exercise you do & what your eating.

This is how it goes for me!

    Today I ate:

Breakfast: Branflakes with oat milk. Had two glasses of water.

Lunch: hard boiled egg & a cup of coffee.

Approx hr later: had cup of tea and two bourbon biscuits.

    Tea: Beans on toast.

Later of will have a yogurt and no doubt another cup of tea.

Then I reckon it will be it.

I do need to get some more food ideas tho'.
