Hi All...
Broke my spend free week as needed to buy some stamps as had loads of letters to send... Ah well... Not to worry! Add a loaf of bread on too!!!
£9.53/£40.00 Spent.
Still on target though... I think next month I'll budget in a Misc category so that my spends can go on fun stuff and not things like this.
See you all tomorrow!!!

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday all NSD :T
Unfortunately i will have to take out the £20 for my meal, as the £20 left in my actual budget is for my nail appt on Saturday, which is pretty desperate now.
But it's fine, cos i have budgeted for it, so i dont mind spending it.
Another NSD today. So thats 4 for the week. :jSPC 18 Target £200 /0 -
I think I might be about to cheat a bit
I had to go to town to get blood tests today & needed a few bits from the SM - which I got but I also did part of next week's shop as it'll save going back on Sunday (it's an 18 mile round trip so quite a lot of fuel to use .....)
Hope it's OK if I split this into the essentials that I got for this week (£5.18) and keep a note of the rest so it can be put to next week's totals?
Let me know if not!
Groceries £23.27 / £25
Misc £6.07 / £10
Total £29.34/ £35
So .... I'm a green for this week!:j
Now the Bus Fund has reached it's target :T any £s left from the Misc spends each week will be going into the "New Mattress" pot! (shrapnel goes into a coin bag for the odd pack of crumpets / potatoes etc needed at the local shop ..... saves a NSD;))
Pledge for next week:
Groceries £20.74 / £40 (£32.50 + £7.50 from last week)
Hair £0/£40 (new hairdresser & not sure of cost ... hasn't been cut since errrr March?)
Misc £0 / £10
Total £20.74 / £90Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000

I think its fine rising, its not like you were just shopping for the sake of it, and you dont want too many of those lengthy trips.
I often have the same problem, as Sat is a spend day for me as i buy a paper, i often like to do a bit of SM shopping too for the week ahead, therefore meaning Sun is a NSD and i dont have to shop on a monday eve, but i always feel bad shopping on a sat as to me that is still part of the week before.
So i am trying to get ahead so when i spend on a sat it isnt from the following weeks budget, if that makes sense, might mean i have to spend double one week though.
What i'm trying to say is..... as long as you track it and you dont spend on top of it then it is fine. :rotfl:SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -
Hi everyone!!!
Managed a NSD today so my end of week total =
£9.53/£40.00 - a GREEN week.
EverTheOptimist - I feel the same way - like Saturday is part of the week before... What if any money left over you put in a jar and that can accumulate from week to week. You can even call it your Saturday Spend Jar!!! Then you can legitimately use it as treat funds and not have to dip into next weeks budget...? Just a thought! I have a Money Pot which I might use to that effect.
Next week's pledge is - £20.00
Have a great weekend everyone and well done!!!

:rotfl:Ohhhh that rivals one of my explanations :rotfl: but I totally "get you":D
I also feel like Saturday (and obviously Friday as is the case today) is still part of the week before so may well have to have an overspend one week to play "catch up" too ..... will see if I've managed to catch up next week- I did have a slightly lower grocery budget this week (£25 instead of the weekly breakdown of £32.50) so I've added the difference to next week which should hopefully help!
Abundant I do that with the change left from the Misc spends (groceries go on the c/card so not really any physical money left IYKWIM) ..... comes in very handy mid week if I run out of something smallabundant1972 wrote: »Hi everyone!!!

Very close to the knuckle this week...just 1p left in my purse at the end of the week but at least I manged to come in green
£119/£120
This week is a big spend week as its DS's birthday party to pay for, so can I be put down for £190 please?
This challenge is fab for focussing the mind!0 -
Well, kind of annoyed as my first ever pledge was for £50 and i came in at £58. Would of been less but i bought 2 10kg bags of washing powder on ebay which came to £20 so it kind of messed things up, but certainly a needed thing.
I pledge £50 for next week too :-)Looking for a fresh start0
