Hi everybody sorry to gatecrash but i would love to join in if thats ok? We have £5096 to pay off this year if possible and we need to learn how to get through each day as frugally as possible.
I've been trying to use the Need/Want mantra (especially with the sales in full swing!) and only caved in once to buy some toys to put away for my sons' birthdays in june.
We're trying to stick to a £50 grocery budget per week and so far have spent £19 this week.
This site has been a lifesaver for me and my family in so many ways, now facing our debts is our challenge for 2013 so here we go..........Looking for a fresh start0 -

ETO well done one keeping to your budget, do you think the remaining budget could cover tea with your friends without adding in the extra? if so that would be a bonus and something towards when you next meet up with your friends.
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday all NSD :TFashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Hi everyone!
Well done on keeping on track!!! I've been using up old veg and making stews... using up my slightly stale bread and dunking it ha ha! I have a mound of chocolates and stuff gifted from work, so am still having treats which feels like a luxuryand have managed a zero spend week so far... I pledged £40 (£20 groceries and £20 spends) but if I can stay at zero then great!... Anything left over from groceries I'm putting into a 'Savings Account' and left over spending money goes into 'Money Pot' which I can use for things like clothes, weekends away, nights out etc.
Will check in again on Friday evening or Saturday am. Keep up the good work folks!!!
