To be honest it is fine when walking but hurts afterwards whdmen I have taken the shoes off. Going to give it 10 days I think...
Ah, the 'fine while you're walking, just don't sit down anywhere' shoes. It's worth giving waiting a few days I think, because new shoes will always take a few wears to break in and stop rubbing you up the wrong way! You don't want to give yourself full on, bleeding toes blisters, or you'll give up!0 -

Problem is that I've had my running shoes/trainers for a fair few years. I made a comment yesterday about how they never gave me blisters when I used to run but am getting huge ones when I walk. The more I think about it, the more this makes sense. I was fitted for those trainers because I pronated when running - I probably don't do this when walking and therefore the action on my feet is unnatural compared to what happens with my other trainers...0 -
Evening all! Where has this month gone? It's been ages since I was last on here. Nothing especially exciting to report, just thought I'd pop in to say 'hi'.
Mini- when it comes to the suits, invest in something that fits, I'm a fan of M&S, get two bottoms for every top to make up for the extra wear and then look after well so they will last you ages. I'm a big fan for work, I think that if men have to wear them then women should too. Katzen my work isn't really that formal, most of the men just wear a shirt with no tie, or a company branded polo shirt. I do agree though, women do need to dress more appropriately sometimes in the office.
A new suit is on my list, but just now I'm looking for slightly more structured tops or shirts, and maybe a blazer for meetings. I'll try out M&S, as there's a chance they'll have a decent blazer.0 -
That sounds like a good plan. I tend to wear long sleeved t shirts under my jacket as I hate ironing and if you get a blazer you can always just leave it in the office until requiredMortgage Outstanding Nov '16 £142,772.75Mortgage Additional OPs 2017 Target £4522.80/ Actual £865.00GC Feb 0/£2000

Try eBay for a suit, I have bought some really great trouser suits and tailored dresses, which might not even be last season, but work for me. Just this week I bought a Gary Weber suit for £20 that probably retailed for well over £100.
The trick is knowing which brands suit your shape, and what size you are in those brands. M&S and Kaliko are generously sized, Phase 8 aren't (if you're a 12 in M&S you'll be 14 or maybe even 16 in Phase 8). I got a Jaegar suit for £10 and a Gina suit that everyone comments on for the same. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -

What a great idea! I was thinking about buying a suit on eBay, but I struggle to find one that suits my narrow shoulders, so worried I'd waste money! I wish I had thought of this before... My current suit is rubbish, and I haven't worn it since my last graduate job interview. It was acceptable at the time, but I would definitely need something more expensive looking if I moved on. I thought that meant at least £80 :eek:0 -
If you're narrow have a look at Mango too. I got a suit out of there years ago, and found an extra pair of trousers on eBay to go with it.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I think thermals are possibly in the need category given the weather we've been having. I have two thermal vests from Primarni (the pretty ones with lace edging) and I've worn them loads - make fab pj tops as they are a little longer and don't tent to ride up my midriff.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
