When i cancelled a contract with the correct notice 2 years ago they persuaded me to keep the account live but transfer tp PAYG which i did, then on my final bill i had been charged an early termination fee ! I did get that back after a very long phone call though.
I should have learned then never tio deal with these jokers again.

Hmm, I may have spoken too soon.

After CS told me on 5 Oct that the remaining dubious charge of £20 would be dropped, today I get an overdue amount letter through the post for the £20.

So it was back on the phone to CS, after locating the freephone number from 'say no to 0870' website, where a new CS rep reassured me that the bill would (eventually) be cancelled. He said that would happen at the end of the day today but my hopes aren't high.

Update. Have just sent my views through to Ofcom via there web page, although even that proved troublesome as their web page would only accept 1500 characters which is equivalent to a large paragraph. Still, better than nothing but couldn't really explain the situation in such a brief space.
  • Well my contract end date was yesterday 15th Oct and I phoned tmobile first thing for a PAC code which took me sometime to get it out of them. I then put in the port request on the same day and this morning 16th Oct my number had ported to GiffGaff.

Now my next Bill is produced on the 18th Oct and I have a feeling it will show another charge and another months. What is the chance of that?

99.9%. You have to give 30-day notice to terminate the contract..
  • Hi

If you read above I gave my notice on the 15th Sept ready for the 15th Oct

My apologies then, but you should have quoted your old post then to avoid causing confusion.

I would say it's pretty much guaranteed that they'll slip an extra charge in there somewhere. Good luck!

They told me yesterday they would make the adjustment on my account by the end of the day. Just had a look, outstanding balance is exactly the same. Still it's to be expected I guess.
  • Its going to be inresting as I had 2 mobiles with them one which ended the other day and the other is still active until March.

I Noticed today that the one that ended the other day on the 15th is no longer showing up on my online account.

Its also a pain that the only way to check what is going to come out your bank is the tmobile balance on the payment page.

I got charged 2 MNP charges, i phoned to cancel my contract and was told it was best to call back in a few days to ensure there was an overlap of a few days at the end of the contract, thereby ensuring i completed the contract and transferred my number after completion. They sent out a PAC after the first call and the second call, I have complained half a dozen times over the phone and on Facebook and they have removed 1 still insisting i pay the other...
Please be sure i will not be paying it!!!

    Well guest what

Just had my Oct bill today and I have the following charge on the bill

    Notice Period Charge £28.79

Not sure what this charge is as I ported on the day they told me to which was 15th Oct I requested the PAC and gave it to GiffGaff sameday

Another call to them I think
