Feeling a bit sorry for myself...

            Back again...
I went for a scan t'other day and it seems that my tendons are swollen but I need to wait for the results of the scan and X-Ray. I had to ring in sick for the weekend as I had a nasty fall and jarred my bad shoulder.. crawled in almost in tears with the pain so feeling a bit sorry for myself again. My boss wasnt happy at me which I feel really bad about - but I've been really struggling and it was just too much so I had to ring in. Back to sleeping all the time and just generally feeling a little bit cr.appy *The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 *The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

Hi everyone, thanks for your kind responses. Sorry for the delay in replying - I've been asleep all afternoon.
Victory, yes I'm on tramadol, co-codamol and ibuprofen but I've been using the gel form of it as it seems to relieve it more. The tramadol makes me sick and sleepy though so I try to take it at night but I've had to have it during the day yesterday and today - hence I feel like I've been hit over the head repeatedly with a sledgehammer
OH is watching the Heineken Cup match, polly - Exeter I think. I'm not really interested but Leicester are playing tomorrow (my second team ) so I imagine I'll watch that with OH - hopefully I can stay awake!!! *The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 ) so I imagine I'll watch that with OH - hopefully I can stay awake!!! *The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

Hello Mrs Ryan, I don't think I've spoken to you before, but I wanted to wish you all the best.
I've not long finished RT and chemo and will be seeing my oncologist in February to see if the treatment has done it's job.
 Fingers crossed eh!0

Not sure what else I can suggest, really. If you can get to a jacuzzi (eg if you're a member of a gym), then you MIGHT find a good soak in lovely warm water helps, as long as you can get in and out without difficulty. Or maybe a warm wheat bag on the poorly shoulder, and keep warm when you're out!
On the keeping warm front, I have added a couple of scarves to my regular layering: I have a long thin silk one running through the sleeves of my blouse, and I spread it out over each shoulder - you might need help to get it 'spread' on the bad shoulder! Then I have a large square one folded into a triangle on top of my blouse and under my cardigan. If you don't count my vest (thin straps only), I have five layers on my shoulders, and that's before I add a large long scarf and coat when I go out! :rotfl:Signature removed for peace of mind0

I didn't want to read and run but just wanted to offer a huge hug
Life gets very challenging at times, and you have been through a hell of a lot not only physically, but mentally too so its hardly surprising you have been feeling low (and probably overwhelmed with it all?). Have you spoken to your gp how you are feeling? It took me a long time to open up to mine and now having CBT following my own scares with cancer not to mention other health and relationship issues, things do get easier again, health settles down and allows you and your brain to start functioning again not at the mercy of constant scans/ tests and dr visits. As my therapist said last week - you've been through 'it' and its impossible to go back in time and go through it again, so you are stronger than you think and coping better than you realise xxxI love food, hate waste and have a penchant for sparkly things ::D
