  • Love the idea of "making" an ice pack with the frozen sponge in the ziplock bag. Must remember that.

  • I've been making home made soup and taking that to work. So far leek and potato and carrot and coriander are my favourites :) So far I've saved £30 this month, which is a major saving!

Lol - you know, I debated adding them to the list, but wondered if I'd be adding something peeps couldn't suddenly get hold of, and I'd start an internet craving for no longer available goods :rotfl:

  • Anyone that is not too fussy about dates on food should have a look at approved foods at the moment they have lots of soups in cartons rather than tins, biscuits, and the small tubs of porridge for about 3 for a quid.
You could buy a months supply for very little money.

  • Well as its been like 2-3 days since I annoyed you guys I thought I would post lol :rotfl::rotfl:

So I have bought no lunches from work since the 2nd of Jan and at £3 a day of savings I am upto £40 saved in just work lunches.

As for the weekends where I usually was a very bad girl and got a burger king or something for lunch I have not done this for 2 weeks now, did kind of go off track yesterday when I bought a sandwich and coke from the petrol station but then I was busy flying round town lol. But that only cost £3.25 and that's compared to the normal burger king of around £8.5 so I still saved £5.25.

And I have also had no takeaways since the 2nd either, which has been murder but I think I am getting there lol

So with everything combined its around £100 I've saved so far :D:D:T:T:T

And thanks for putting the recipes up on the front page, just wish I could do some of the hot stuff :( I have decided to go for sausages next week as something different to the gammon so shall see how I go with that.
