Zero feedback new buyers are good for me as I sell in one very niche market so people will register just to be able to buy an item from me.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. To weed out bad seller terms.
It would be quite easy to stop a seller with "will not be responsible for items lost in the post" in their listing to not be able to list..0 -

1) Zero feedback and registered within last 7 days
2) Have had 'Report buyer' raised against them in previous 6 months
Don't agree with 1, but 2 is a good starting point.
Perhaps 2 cases in 6 months as per NPB?Lose is to not win......Loose is not tight......get it right!0 -

Get rid of the horrible DSR system for sellers which causes them so much stress and replace with something that works for both sellers AND buyers.0

several good points so far.
to add 1, a holiday setting like on amazon. I list everything on 30 day BIN, during that period it is quite possible something unforseen comes up and it would be good to make the listings disappear for a few days.if i had known then what i know now0 -
I wouldn't mind being able to pick the end time, it's only a minor inconvenience but I like things to end on Sundays and run for as long as possible. If I haven't listed by Thursday I have to wait another week to list.0

1) renew the dsr system. i'm scrupulous about dispatch times within 24hrs of payment and my postage is always absolutely at cost, yet i still get marked down by numpties on occasion.
2) deny "private feedback" - er, what's the point? i do note however this system now shields sellers and buyers who regularly shill bid eachother.0 -
I would like to have a flexible end time just like a real life auction so as to really get the highest possible final price. It would stop loads of bidders bidding in the last few seconds and wanting to put one more higher last second bid but not having time.
I saw it done on a holiday site once: An end time was set. If there was a bid 2 minutes before the end the auction ran for another 10 minutes, if there was another bid it ran for another ten minutes and so on. When there was no bid for 10 minutes the auction ended.
This method allowed bidders to think and decide whether to place one final bid - they don't miss out and the seller gets a bit more too - win, win!
I'd happily pay a small fee to have this ending, maybe the same fee as a buy-it-now.
aims for 2014 - grow more fruit and veg, declutter0
