I am a firm believer in karma so I should get double back after today!
I love doing random acts of kindness and when I am the receiver of such acts I always try to pay it forwards.
Today's positivity is about having a fully stocked fridge and freezer with enough in to last the forecasted wild weekend. I appreciate the life I lead and am so looking forward to spring.
Decorator starts tomorrow on my bedroom (as long as there's not too much of the white stuff) and then all the other stuff happens so that very soon I will have a great space to relax in.
I hope everyone else is keeping positive?0 -
What a lovely thread. Just subscribing and off to read the rest of the thread :A

This week has been full of me doing my best to be positive for my youngest DD who has been made redundant,so we have been decluttering the kitchen and apart from taking her to interviews all this week in between times it been a case of 'Right lets crack on with getting rid of some junk while your at home' I hope its kept her spirits up at least bless her.
She has also done a lot of baking for her boys which always goes down well with them.
This morning I spent cleaning the gunk off her stainless steel kettle which was looking a bit grotty and it now looks as good as new.
I think I will be at home tomorrow as the snow is forecast but I am going to get some stewing beef from the freezer tonight and make a large casserole to use up some of the veg in the bottom of the fridge drawer and will portion it up for the freezer once cooked.
I have a large bag of craft stuff to go to my eldest Dds school for the children as I seem to have far too much of it hanging around.I am also going to make a large batch of 'melting moments ' for the DGS as they are their favourites and are cheap as chips to make.
Keep wrapped up warm chums and keep a look out for your neighbours if you can I am very lucky my neighbours always knock on the door if the weather is bad as they know I never venture across the doorstep once its snowy I think the hospitals are quite full enough without another dappy old woman cluttering up the beds there:)
take care everyone and keep up the onwards and upwards movement:)

Your positive thinking clearly paid off Jackie! Congratulations to your daughter.
I need to draw on all my reserves of positivity this weekend as my living room and kitchen are full of the contents of my bedroom and I need to navigate my way carefully and hunt for things. I know it will all be sorted by Wednesday so trying to wear rose-coloured blinkers until then!
The snow here is melting and I got my car out and back in my no-through road without any difficulty and the snow just needed a push to clear from the windscreen.
So, more positives here.

Hello there! Hope you're all having a positive start to your week!
Because of the snow and the distance I need to travel to work I'm getting an extra day working from home today. It has finally stopped snowing on us and OH has just been out to remove about a foot of the white stuff from my car so I can use it later.
Plus after today my boss is off on leave for the remainder of the week so no-one breathing down my neck for a few days.
I've just checked my ebay account because I was worried about the delay in getting feedback from an overseas buyer and found that he + one other have both left positives.
Also my credit card bill has arrived and it's lower that I was expecting.
Also I've had an email reply from our local food bank accepting my offer to donate all our left over sweets and chocolates from Xmas including 2 puddings (don't ask!) so I'm going to drop them off on Friday. And yesterday I had a bit of a wardrobe purge and now have a bag of clothes to drop off at the CS also on Friday.
It's amazing how, once you put your mind to it, you really can find lots of positives in your day.
Have a good day y'all!:D£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

:mad:I cannot crochet for toffee! I ended up throwing a right kiddie tantrum this weekend trying. My fingers just can't do it.
:DHowever, as I had some knitting needles free with the mag, I thought I'd give it a go. Didn't do too bad for a beginner though I must have spent 5hrs knitting a square 44 stitches long and currently 5cm deep. The mag suggests 20cmx20cm square so I may be at it all week. :rotfl:
Definitely going to make a patchwork blanket for my best friend as a Christmas present, she'll be really surprised I've taught myself, can't guarantee which Christmas it'll be finished for.
I also gave Hubby a good laugh as he watched me concentrating0 -
I've decided I really must more of an effort with my appearance when I'm having an at home day (and I have quite a few!). Normally I just scruff around in my comfiest, warmest clothes with no make up etc. So I am determined to try to wear my more stylish layers so I at least look like I've planned what I'm wearing, and make an effort to experiment more with my make up.
It really shouldn't take that much effort, just a bit more thought and planning.Wilson the Volleyball is one of Hollywood's most loved volleyballs. His glittering career started when he became the only companion of Tom Hanks' Chuck Noland in Cast Away. Many say this is Wilson's best performance and he couldn't have given a better effort.0 -
Morning all!
Can't believe how happy I felt when I woke up this morning and remembered that my boss is away for the rest of the weekIt's not that I don't like her - on a personal level she's terrific - but as a manager she's a bit of a control freak. I've had to develop a fairly thick skin to be able to do this job anyway and she doesn't make my life any easier. I will enjoy the peace & quiet while it lasts and catch up on some stuff, trying to get ahead for my impending medical leave (which I STILL don't have a date for
).
Does anyone want to try a free Graze box?

You can try it for free then cancel if you don't want to go ahead. There's plenty of commentary elsewhere on MSE about them if you need any further info.
Just PM for for a code if you're interested - I have four to give out!(just trying to spread the love!)
Edit: I now have my hospital date (arrived in the post) - yay!£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

I've managed to stay relatively positive this month. I've been walking everyday, on my exercise bike five times a week, and still have money in my bank account even though it's been over a month since payday.
I've also been continuing my writing, and have already hit my monthly word count with over a week left of the month. Doesn't mean i'm going to relax for the rest of the month as i have a feeling some months will be harder than others.0 -
It's snowing like mad here - we've got about 8 inches and it's still falling. I don't have to go out in it :jso I can stay here and look at it from the warm. AND - now our garden looks as bonny as anyone else's in the street rather than it's normal messy state0
