Well look on the bright side - at least none of you got ripped off by Mr A :T.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Good afternoon:wave:
Its nearly Thursday and that's the day Mr B gets paid:D
Have saved the £100 from last week and will put it together with another £200 from Mr B's wage to op against the mortgage. As I've explained before it's damage limitation with oping and Virgin, as they used to get it wrong on nearly every occasion I have attempted to op previously....lets hope they have got their act together now;).
I think I may have been a little bit conservative with my hopes of oping £5400, I really think I could stretch it some what further with more impact on bringing the mortgage down. I think Im going to chunk my targets into quarters at a time, so my first chunk will be to pay off £2700 from the secured loan part of the mortgage by end of March...heres hoping!:p
have a pleasant day

Good evening:wave:
Not feeling the love too much for this white fluffy cold stuff:cool:
Free night out yesterday at a lovely restaurant so that was fab:D
Asd* shopping again today and no luck with the receipt wombling session...boohoo:mad:
Paid Monday so going to add another £200 to my already accumulated £300 and call Virgin to op. That will bring my January op's to £900 so far this month and I'm hoping for another £300 by the end of the month.
Put me out coz this girl is on fire:rotfl:

Right earth shattering news to share:D
I made a corned beef, potato and onion pie tonight as a sort of batch baking tester to see if the Buttercup clan approved or borked.....and they likely very much :rotfl:
I know this must sound rather strange to all the Mary baker cake maker types out there but Mama has never cooked a pie before so I'm quietly highfiving myself as I type;). Have threatened to batch bake more of the same including chicken pie as a sort of time saving/good tasty food drive:T. You go girl:beer:
Having meals prepared will take me away from the temptation of the dreaded takeaways which of course see's 20 quid disappear in a second. Shameful I know but that's the compromise sometimes of a working Mum:A

oohhh that sounds nice
Did you use pastry or breadcrumbs or what?
And takeaway's are fine. My rule is if you have no leftovers or defrosted bits and to make dinner happen means a super, market shop....do takeaway. It saves spending more than £20 on yet more food we don't need. Supermarkets are money magnets. If its a weekend, that's a bonusBut i usually make sure there is nothing defrostable that can make takeaway justified,,,,lol
I did a batch cook on Friday. No excuse for DS to eat crap aka chicken nuggets if i'm stuck to get home due to weather and used up ingredients that needed using0 -
I'm very new to proper cooking, so it all seems very impressive to me!
We had roast chicken tonight and I have got so much, left over, despite it being a small chook and there being 4 of us (2 small). Am planning to make a curry with it tomorrow as did the risotto thing last week.
Any other ideas for chicken leftovers?"Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." William Morris0 -

Make stock with the carcass. Then be really skanky and pick over the carcass removing the last bits of meat to put in the soup :rotfl:. Been enjoying your diary!
Can I ask- what do you do with the receipts in ASDA? Do you get money for collecting receipts or something? Is it only something you can do in ASDA or can you do it in Tescos etc also?
As for chicken- curry, stir fry, BBQ chicken on pizza, risotto?Mortgage Free WannaBe!

Never mind paying off the mortgage, this is what I'm going to aspire to! :rotfl:"Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." William Morris0
