  • Good afternoon:)

Sixth day on the bounce where I have spent no money on lunches....it's a miracle!!! Been ever such a good girly by doing an extra one when I make the little Buttercups lunch boxes up:D

Pay day tomorrow for Mr Buttercup;) so should have some money to chuck at the mortgage, maybe a £100 or so....bring it on I say. Mr Buttercup gets payed weekly and I get paid monthly which works out really well because we are never truely skint:D

Been playing with these op calculators and boy do they twist your mind:rotfl:. Think I'm starting to get a bit ahead of myself here putting larger and larger ops in and imagining pay off day!!! Mr Buttercup isnt aware of my mf desires yet as his moto is live for today, not mentioning the techno techno techno fettish he has;). Don't think I will mention it to be truthful as its easier to be on a one woman mission with me myself and I, than actually admit how much spare money we do potentially have each month.....if you know what I mean:p

    Keep smiling people:D

    Hullo!

Loving your diary so far, and just wanted to say good luck and keep up the good work!

Is there perhaps any chance that you can get the rest of your family on board with the big push? Too early for your son of course, but maybe it could potentially shape your daughter's spending habits for the next few years?

Oh for the chance to cheat like that :( But I have a clever tactic! I arranged my remortgage yesterday and I've increased my monthly payments to knock 2 years off the term. BUT, the term was supposed to be until 2024 so I'm still 2 years short of my 2020
    goal.

Still, you gotta be in the race to win it :j
  • Good evening:wave:

Thanks for dropping by sandstone:D. Have already started to shape beautiful teenage type into doing chors for pocket money....just got to shape her expectations of 20 quid an hour down to a more reasonable amount....hence the detached from financial reality quote;). Don't know if anybody else out there with teenage types feels this, but certainly madam seems to think just coz mama works then we must surely by waded....haha!!!! In your dreams big girl, Mama works to pay the mortgage and has done for the last decade and a half, dreams are wonderful, but reality is something else:D.

Pixnmix, good for you:T.....you go girl:). I did that at my last remortgage and it felt ever so gooooood:T. For me certainly looking at other peoples diaries I think I jumped on the wagon a decade later than I should have...but hey ho we certainly had a good time getting there:beer: Time will tell I guess if I can make up for lost time oping, certainly the later you leave it the harder the slog....by heck it's grim up North:rotfl:

    Pleasant dreams, Del B xxx

  • Good evening:)

Mr Buttercup got paid today so I have another £100 to op, mind you the wages department swindled him out of some overtime money to the not to be sniffed at total of £150. He will get that in next weeks money so I guess it will all come right at the end. Another stingey day really , no spends except for the £153 council tax but hey ho that's life;).

My question is do I wait till I've got say a couple of hundred quid to op as spare money sort of comes my way every week, or should I op as soon as I get my dirty mitts on it? I ask the question because a few years ago I had a couple of attempts at oping and specifically requested to which part of my mortgage I wanted the money directing to, and did NR (now Virgin) follow my requests......did they b*ggery, Caused all sorts of hassle trying to get it corrected so now I'm of the thinking the least times I contact them the better ratio of damage limitation I will have:D......or am I doing myself be holding on to cash and not giving it to Virgin sooner?

Your thoughts would be lovely to hear.:)
