Can I come off the naughty step yet?
Hiya to everyone, and a special welcome to the newbies
Well done to the losers - and especially to Stef, that 2.5lb loss is so deserved
I'm afraid I couldn't face going to WI yesterday0 -
Hello folks. Sorry I forgot to report my first WI on Tuesday - it's been that kind of week. 4lbs off was the result, but I'm aiming for a pound a week from now on if I can.
Yesterday I made cheats pea and ham soup. One chopped onion, one pint of stock made with a knorr ham stock cube and one small tin of pease pudding. I simmered it for a bit then put the blender on it. We were told about this recipe in group and it tastes really good.
Today I've made the BBQ sauce out of the sauce book to go with my chicken, roasted butternut squash and salad for dinner. It tastes a little bit strange but it isn't nasty so hopefully dinner will be edible.0 -
I strictly followed SE since Monday, but didn't notice any weight loss.
I stopped taking my NSAIDs since Tuesday, as feel my meds are preventing weight loss. I'm in a lot of pain as a consequence though. My toes feel as if they've been bashed with a hammer.
Yesterday, I was pretty sure I hadn't lost any weight for the 2nd week running. So I bottled out of WI as next time I go I AM going to get my 1 stone certificate.
Today however, I am much lighter on my own scales and looks like I'm shifting the weight again
I bought myself one of those huge cooks knife for chopping veg. It makes it so much easier, I didn't realise. The weight of the knife does so much work. But I've only used it twice and cut myself on both occasions. My wife has subsequently bought me a chainsaw to tackle the garden.0 -

Hi Banjo,
Good to hear from youyou can come down off that naughty step whenever you like!
Sorry to hear you are in so much pain with your toes
You be careful with that new knife and good luck with your goal of getting your 1 stone certificate next week.
Stef, just been catching up with things and congratulations on your brilliant weight loss this week - it is so well deserved :beer:0 -
Hi Banjo Bear,
Glad you are okay, you had people worried! Have you discussed you medication issue with your group leader or the doctor? Seems a bit extreme just to stop them. I know if I were in pain I'd eat more comfort food (that means chocolate by the way!)
Stef - can I clarify, did your 'fat clinic' recommend more carbs? I know they were keen for you to have seeded bread instead of wholemeal. Could you please them by having more wholemeal pasta or rice? Being really nosey, what is the 'fat clinic'? Is it to do with diabetes? Just wondered.
Mich_city, can'r believe light choices cumberland from Tesco are only 1/2 a syn, I bought Venison sausage last night and they are 1 each.
Did my first night of 4 last night. Shouldn't be up yet but the phone keeps ringing and my daughter's poorly. Will try and get some more sleep later. I was panicing about having enough to eat in the night so brought lots with me. Ate 1/4 of SW veg quiche (VERY nice by the way) with salad and beetroot; a banana; and later cous cous with corriander, red onion, tomatoes and cucumber.
Still lots of quiche left and have soicey parsnip soup to take.0 -

You should have gone. You might have been pleasently surprised.
The same happened to me this week. The previous week I had a gain and this week my scales at home showed another gain. I really didn't want to get two gains in a row so didn't want to go to class to get weighed in. But I did as I know avoiding class would be the start of a slippery slope for me. Guess what, I actually lost 2lbs.
I've finally started to realise that I shouldn't weigh at home and I should just weigh at class.0 -

I'm sorry but this made me :rotfl: Also I read the start of Fannyanna's reply as 'you should have gone to specsavers' - that might be an idea too
Good to see you back and good luck with next week's WI. I agree with Nightowl, would be worth speaking to your doctor in case there is an alternative medication - it sounds from your previous posts that you've already tried all the shots in the pharmacy bar but you never know, and it's not worth being in pain over.2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

Good to see you banjo. Your absence was noted.;)
It's a bit drastic cutting bits off yourself to lose weight!:rotfl:
I bought some of the Seeded Sensations today to give it a try. It is wholemeal but with seeds on (if I've got the right one:o). I was amazed in Sainsbury's how many diffrent sell by dates were on just the one type of bread.0 -
