Sorry to hear that purplevamp. Have you thought of trying a mobile home?
Today, continuing our out with the old tat and in with the better stuff.
Out = Really pleased cs came and collected our 2 seat sofa and matching chairs.
In = sofa bed. That will make an extra bedroom for guests in front room. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
purplevamp - ahhh I'm sorry
Do you know the bid the developer put in, and is there any chance of raising it a few £, or is it all final?
Today I've been in the kitchen... I realise I was keeping alot of food stuff that I don't actually want to use at all. I was thinking I "should" use this even with stuff I don't like... just wasting my time/life/space really!
Maldon smoked sea salt, ground flaxseed, mustard, posh (but disgusting) cordial, herbal teas, peanut butter, caramel salt, chilli chocolate, parmesan, vegan butter, sharp lemon cordial, chilli penne, flahavans oats, pink sea salt, nando's peri salt, stock cubes, sauces I don't like and keep put off using, milkshake mix, soup mix, cereal bars, ice cream... ALL GONE! In the bin.... & I'm a happy bunny for it
Now going back to finish off the freezer, and the other cupboards...:T0 -
No chance now, they put in the full asking price, which is £15K more than we can afford
. I feel like this will keep happening with houses in our price range and it does make me want to give up. We've been saving for nearly 6 years now and it feels like a total waste of time.

I moved a smaller bookcase from an awkward corner in the living room. It was blocked by a car and very untidy. Only managed two books to go out though.
I must have another look.
So sorry about your house, purple vamp.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

Sorry to hear that purplevamp. You hang in there and either something will come along soon, or if not... it will be a process in itself and you will figure out whether you need to adjust what you are looking for or do something else that is different. I wish you luck!
Kitchen downstairs 95% sorted and decluttered...
A few plastic containers to contend with, and it'll be finished. May as well get it out of the way now...0 -
Very pleased with myself today. I said that I would sort out one box in the utility room and I did. In the end, I sorted through 2 boxes and recycled some old instruction booklets and some pens that didn't work. I found an old backpack that I will sell. I then continued to sort through the shelf in the utility room, didn't throw anything away but the shelf looks really tidy now and there is free space to store more stuff.
OH cut the grass this afternoon, first time this year and filled up the bird food containers. Garden bin is full up now ready to be emptied on Monday. No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23

Morning All
DS, DD and I are having a bit of a slow morning today, all still in pyjamas, but I'm going to make lemon and syrup pancakes shortly, so that should get us all moving :-).
My decluttering efforts yesterday were a bit random and mixed with other jobs, but I did ok given that we went to a family tea in the afternoon, so it wasn't a full day's effort.
Cut the lawn and did some tidying in garden, so garden bin now full, I'm hoping next week is collection week, will have to check. Sorted some toys from garage, various other bits that are no longer needed, couple of binliners worth overall. This has gone to a car boot this morning with other stuff I have been putting to one side. DS and DD's Dad was doing one and said he would take all my stuff too. I've had a text, he reckons stuff has made about £100 so far :j.
Also got my bed sheets and all the towels washed and dried yesterday. So all in all, not doing too bad, still loads to do as ever though, so better get moving.
Happy Sunday everyone. It's sunny here, but cold.

Evening.
Today I had work so I never got as much done as I wanted,
saying that I did get round to sorting out my In/Out tray again and managed to order the paper into "What needs to be done first, and what can be at the bottom for last." So when I pick up an assignment to complete, all the notes are there and is in the order it needs to be handed in. I've also put some more paper into my recycling bag ready for wednesday, it's almost full!
I've just finished putting my spare duvet in my wardrobe & Making
my bed.I've also tried to tidy my shelves above my desk but it doesn't look any better.
All thats left to do is:
Put washing away
Tidy my make up deskSavingsRepayment: £0/£359.00
GeneralSavings: £244.01/£1000+ Dec 15
SPC#1435 £10.29
