    Good afternoon every one.

Done the usual morning routines = clothes off clothes horse, reboot washer. washed up. Danced with Dyson.

Watched the 2 quilting shows on create and craft tv. More patchwork idea's.

Using my free samples to declutter = colgate max white toothpaste, shampoo/conditioner sachets. Garnier lotion.

I want to get in the loft to see if their is anything we could be using or no longer need to store. Just working up to it!!!!! and the comments I will get.

    Good afternoon fellow declutterers

    Back into the boys bedroom to sort out the drawers and wardrobes. We have added to the rubbish bag. We can also declare;

1 black bag of clothes for the charity shop
1 pair of black shorts for school
1 pair nearly new pumps for school
2 jigsaws donated to a family

Beds changed and the room is starting to look much better.

    Enjoy the afternoon.

started clearing out old pantry, have dumped 1 large bag of out of date cook-in sauces that MIL bought for us when i gave birth to ds (10 next week!) that have been "lurking just in case". also a tonne of cous cous, i like cous cous but no-one else does so it has festered.

    new pantry is very empty!
have filled holes in the sides of old pantry with filler and waiting for it to dry before can put all the diy/craft stuff in it. every surface in the kitchen is piled high. not sure how i am going to serve sunday dinner!

children's rooms are disaster areas, but both are very tired and grumpy and on the edge of melt-downs over nothing so today is not the day to get them tidying - i'll see if i can grab out some more too-small clothes later so i have a chance of putting washing away :)

    Hi all

I hope everyone is well. I've not managed to post for a few days but have been popping in for quick reads. Seems that lots of decluttering has been going on.

Today has been a day of using up ends of bottles/packets. The binmen are due in the morning, so I'm determined to get as much out today as possible.

-finished off some 'just ok' bread ends
-kids snack was a very successful 'using up' exercise - finished off packet of prunes, couple packs of biscuits, end of punnet of grapes, end of packet of cereal

    Quick tidy in kids bathroom
-2 old tubs of cream past their best (cream binned, tubs recycled)
    -old toothbrush binned

    -DH old work tops RC
-Above plus few other items thrown in to make a carrier full to take to ragbag at school
-9 more items added to ebay (at around 25 items on their now)
-Quick tidy of fridge - finished up a couple of yoghurts, binned some cream etc.
-half bottle of white wine I didn't like - frozen to use up cooking
    -wine bottle to RC
-Box that nice smellies came in to RC
-DD used up a craft kit she got at xmas so packaging to RC

Taken some bits back out to garage
    -garden gloves
    -kindling
-old shoes that live in their
    -paintbrushes

I've also made slight inroad into the cleaning. Have cleaned ensuite and master bedroom. Every room is very overdue a clean though. Trouble is, I'd really rather be decluttering than cleaning, so cleaning takes ages as I keep being distracted by things to declutter :(

I've sold two more items on ebay (only a couple of £s worth) so I'll get these packed up tonight.
Plan for this evening is to do the ironing, and have a bath. Still have a 1/3 of a bottle of red left over from last night, so that may need to be cleared up too

I tidied a cupboard this week, so some things have gone to charity, and I've eBayed some other things.

This coming week I may look at the cupboard under the stairs and a draw in the kitchen, but then again I might not. I've been de-cluttering since the start of the year, and I think i might need a week off!

I'll see how I feel later in the week.

My summary for the week is as follows

    172 1 x 1970’s single – eBay
    173 Men’s M & S top – charity
    174 4 x 1980’s ‘bonkbuster’ paperbacks – charity
    175 2 x computer games -charity
    176 coathangers – bin
177 one unidentified object – bin
178 Old mobile phone and charger - small electrical recycling
179 Old plastic luggage tag – bin
180 Large laminated paper Blue Peter badge – bin
    181 Next necklace – eBay
182 Early 1980’s Abbey National keyring – eBay
    183 2 x 1980’s Halifax Building Society badges - eBay
184 More old holiday brochures – recycling
185 1950’s Ballroom dancing programmes, tickets and badge– eBay
186 Old jewellery box – eBay
187 1990’s WWF programme and tickets
    188 Sony camcorder – eBay
    189 Jigsaw - eBay
    Early retired - 18th December 2014

have managed to squeeze everything from the surfaces into the remaining cupboard of doom. will take a significant amount of building up to before tackling that on e- but kids craft is on one shelf and the diy stuff on the other 3, got rid of 5 sample pots of paints that I don't like, found the dregs of another that I do like and put on wall to check in different lights over the next couple of weeks, and threw pot. also threw away drying up filler because i found 2 fresh pots to use, some sugar soap and other random stuff that I have duplicates of.

all in all 3 binbags of out of date food/empty cartons and past their best diy stuff.
children are driving me nuts, but at least I am going crazy in a slightly more organised settting.

Hi, I hope you all had a good weekend.

I've done very little on the decluttering front this week.

1 carrier bag of rubbish in the bin.
Junk mail in recycling (or shredded depending on who it was addressed to).
1 pair of socks in bin, wearing very thin at the heels. Probably should have gone a long time ago.
    1 gloopy mascara in bin.
Birthday cards from last month recycled.
3 belts binned cos they are falling apart.

Attacked the bathroom blind with mould and mildew spray. It looks much better now. Also put the chain back on it. It's been lying on the windowsill since sometime last year when my ex flatmate broke it and didn't bother to try to fix it. I can have some natural light in the bathroom now. However this does mean that my neighbours can see me go to the loo now albeit a blurred me.

I still have kitchen wall above cupboards to attack with the spray. And the kitchen floor to steam clean. Might as well do the bathroom floor at the same time. Probably not until tomorrow though.
