Well I am back from my shopping trip and I am pleased to say that I only spent £40
I still have £20 left on my money card which will go towards next week
Have to say though, I have gotten into the habit of checking my receipt before I leave the shop and discovered I had been overcharged for one item and charged twice for another. 82p refundI never used to check my receipts and I often wonder how much I had lost by not doing it.
Receipt has been input into the price checker thingy Mr T have got....what's the bets they come back saying they were cheaper
And, at the bottom of the receipt they say they will welcome my comments about my shopping experience today ................ well, it's a gift. :rotfl:I shall tell them exactly what I thought of my shopping experience today :rotfl:Free by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -

It's a shame that you've got just the weekend between leaving and starting your new job.I hope you find some time to unwind this weekend.:) New beginnings...
That's good that you got the second account set up.Happy 'spreadsheeting'.I agree,it can be a good thing to be a money control freak.;)
I hope it all goes well on Monday.0 -
Well, Good Morning
I have went a little bit spreadsheet crazy this morning
I have sorted out my spreadsheets for my pots and have decided what ones to have, although they will change when I think of more. Now I just have to get some money in there
And then I created a spreadsheet for everything that is in my freezer and cupboardsIt has all been divided into the drawers/shelves and what is in them and how much. Now when I make the meals I just have to update the spreadsheet and I can see what I still have left
Also when I go shopping I can write my meal plan and list with an up to date inventory in front of me
Well that's the plan anyway.
I feel all organised and because I was inventorising (is that a word????) my cupboards and had everything out they are all now sparkly clean too. A productive morning I think.
That is probably all I'll do today though. I have some bits to put on ebay to keep the momentum going but they are nothing special and I'll be surprised if they sell. Not to worry, you'll not know if you don't give it a go.
Thanks to everyone for there good lucks for starting the new job tomorrow. At the moment I am trying not to think about it too much and stress myself out. I am determined just to go with the flow and see what the day brings. Trouble is, I used to work a fair way out of the town and to walk there took about 40 minutes round trip. Now, this office I am going to is right in the centre  next to M&S and D3b3nhams  My will power is going to be tested  Think it will have to be a "leave your purse at home" job
Hope everyone is having a lovely relaxing SundayFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
Morning Fifty,
Good luck with the new job tomorrow. The anticipation is always worse than the actual thing. Once you get the first day over with then you will wonder why you were nervous.
Wow you are going to develop nerves of steel working so close to all the shops. Hopefully your work mates or office is really nice and you can eat your lunch and read a book in the office. I would'nt go out if you can help it. Temptation will eventually win.
There is a plus side though (if you are strong) as you can maybe keep your eye out for bargains etc for future birthdays. Maybe you could make a pledge that IF you buy anything it has to be in a sale and definately for a specific thing like a birthday etc.
I have overspent in the past because I left birthdays till the last minute and then bought expensive stuff in a hurry.
Love the spreadsheet frenzy. You have given me the idea of maybe doing an inventory of all the meat in our freezer.
We kept pigs, lambs and chickens last year, and the idea was that what we now have in the meat freezer will last us until this October, until the next lot go in.
Would be good to know exactly what we have left and maybe meter it out. So that we can have a few veggie meals in between to make it last.
Thanks hun, I will do that this afternoon.:T
Hope you have a nice relaxing day ahead.

Good Morning
Well a little bit apprehensive this morningI'm not worried or nervous because I know all the people I will be working with but I am fretting about working all day and not being home until nearly 6pm  I have the dinner in the oven on the timer and have to hope the house doesn't burn down and have given DD2 strict instructions about what to do when she comes in ie. not touch anything that might burst/blow up/electricute her :rotfl: Not that she is silly or anything, it's just that motherly thing.
On the MSE :money: front. The bank account is okay and I made another cc payment this morning. Ebay sales are going okay too, I just wish people would pay for somthing when they've bought it  Now I just need to stay away from the shops this lunchtimeI will be going out a walk as I would hate to be cooped up all day but I can look and not touch, can't I????????
Have a great day everyone. :AFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
