Check all letters when they come in. Sometimes the stamp is not`franked`. Put it in a cup of boling water to get gum off and then once dried, restick on new envelope with a Pritt stick.

sorry to revive after so long but didn't know where else..

can anyone think of an alternative use for breastpads?.
i went crazy when they were on offer in boots in conjunction with triple points and now having stopped breastfeeding have 11 boxes of them.

Forgive my ignorance (I've got 4 1/2 months to go til I find out about breastfeeding!!) but are they near enough like cotton wool pads that you could use them for similar things?? :o

yes..but i have a cotton wool phobia which prohibits me ripping them apart, for the baby i have to have the covered cotton wool pads, it really freaks me out for some reason..can't bear it.

oh suggested puting them in the bottom of plant pots when we grow herbs but couldn't explain why to me , plus that would only use 3 or 4 of them.

if you have a boy, you can use them to protect yourself from being weed on when you change his nappy....pop one on the offending part at each nappy change. [unless you've been doing the extended breastfeeding and he's 18!! :rotfl: ]

Ok - so they're like cotton wool pads, but coated in something, which I assume is absorbant else they wouldnt work!!

Hmm. Know any ladies having babies??? I reckon giving them away might be your best option - no point hanging on to them 'just in case'.

I have just taken over an allotment with my 4 and 2 yo so far:
-reused a broken stacker box with a lid as a sandpit for kids to play in whilst I do boring but necessary things like weeding, another one minus lid is going to make a water play area for the summer.
    -made a bird scarer/ornament from old CD's
-"windsock" from cut plastic bottle and strips of coloured plastic bag streamers
-weights to hold down lid of sandpit/plastic membranes etc from plastic bottles filled with water (filled them once we got there so nice and light to carry down)
-rattle style bird scarer from a plastic bottle on a cane
-old baby bath gets used as paddling pool in the summer
-wigwams made for peas and beans have a pole missing so make the perfect den
who knows what the rest of the year will bring.
