PMSL:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Now that has got to be the biggest waste of money since some bright spark inventerd anti-bacterial soap :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
You do all know that all soap is antibacterial anyway don't you??? You haven't got bottles & bars of the super-expensive "anti-bacterial" branded stuff sitting around your houses anyway, have you? Of course not, I had more faith in you than that.Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

JackieO wrote:Re ;the breast pads If you ask your health visitor she will know a Mum that is a bit broke and donate them. Or find your local Meet-a-Mums-Association group there's lots of Mums with babies there that would be grateful.
I never bought breast pads I just used folded up kitchen roll!0 -

can anyone think of an alternative use for breastpads?.
i went crazy when they were on offer in boots in conjunction with triple points and now having stopped breastfeeding have 11 boxes of them.0 -
last night my OH made a fab picture using some of the breastpads.
we had a 4ft x 4 ft canvas we got as a christmas present but didn't know what to put on.
he made a grid and then used the pads, dipped into old saucers full of different coloured paints and made us a damien hirst -esque painting with big circles.
it looks much beter than it may sound.i love it!
he had thought of it before, but normal cotton wool pads wouldn't work as well as the breastpads which have the plastic coating, so keep their shape.
i put the rest on freecycle this morning, along with a baby bath and change unit thats too big for our flat and have already arranged for them both to be collected (and the unit i am swapping for a babysling..hoorah)Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -
put scrunched up pieces of tinfoil into your flask with a little water and put the lid on shake well result a clean flask also cheap wipes are great for when you are painting either for your hands or drips gloss or emulsion0

Use old jumpers to line hanging baskets, I know someone said earlier to unravel and re knit but we just cut them to fit and it works just fine.
Plastic drinks bottles can be cut up to make great 'jugs' for kids to play with in the bath, good for rinsing their hair too.
All sorts of 'rubbish' make good bits and bobs for art work for kids...sweetie wrappers, lolly sticks, junk mail, catalogues, birthday cards, silver foil, old bits of string or wool.
And put all these goodies in an old cereal box.
Dark plastic bottles can be filled with water and put in the green house/polytunnel and in the day time they warm up in the sun and they give off the heat slowly through the night, this does not stop frost damage but does regulate the temperature slightly in the unheated greenhouse/polytunnel.
Any paper with writing on only one side is used by kids to draw on.
Old flat bits of Polystyrene can be made into a pin board.
Bigger chunks can be used as drainage in the bottom of large pots in the garden, saves on compost too.
I used an old shirt to make a great PE bag for my daughter and she decorated it with fabric paint, no chance of coming home with the wrong one!
Old bed sheets become dust sheets for decorating or dusters.(When I got married my mum did a buffet and the table clothes on the buffet tables were double bedsheets! my mum taught me everything!!)
I think that is enough for now.If it aint broke don't fix it!
God bless

Are you sure that the toothpaste would be adhesive enough for the tiles to stay up?Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Willy Wigwams!!! I've seen it all now, how has mankind managed without these? As any mum of little boys will tell you it's pretty easy to tell when they are about to pee, need I say more? Some of the other items on that site are worth looking at just for a laugh. :rotfl: The old saying about a fool and his/her money are soon parted, is very true.
