Oops, Miss Spam a lot here,
Just want to say, I adore this thread, it was one of the first I ever lurked in when I joined and the first I joined in on properly, and it is the one that really helped me get my head in the MSE zone, all the newbies lurking and reading, please jump in, there's no such thing as failure here, have a go!

What a lovely thing to say :A
I know what you mean, this thread is so close to my heart because it made me really concentrate on being MSE and taking things seriously in a lighthearted way - if that makes senseFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -

I'll probably spend today and stock up on soup for work lunches but then that should keep me going for the week and hopefully next week as well since this is a short week.No more buying books Books in 2016 = 20.
Target for 2018 = 7/21

Yes, as planned I paid off my last debt on 31/12/12! :j Thanks beanie and spoon!I suppose I ought to head over to the Roll of Honour thread! :money:
Woop woop Chris, well done you, that's brilliant:j:j:j:j
I know how hard you've worked to clear all those debts so I hope you've had a little celebration and are indulging in a few treats (not too many, mind;)) as a reward for all the hard work.
I hope you have recorded your success on the Roll of Honour, if not here's a reminder.....:DThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Looking forward to a better 2013. Had slight trauma at end of 2012 (continuing on from the rest of the year really, but slightly unexpected), came in on Sunday lunchtime to find OH collapsed on sofa semi conscious and struggling to breathe, - he had lung cancer surgery earlier in year - sat him up ( doing my back in again ) and called amb folk etc, spent rest of day in A&E, followed by next day visiting hosp, finally diagnosed with viral infection + gall stone.Released with medications and is doing well, though I worry about leaving him, and keep having to phone to checkhe is Ok.:T
Positive news that its not a re-occurence of the cancer,:j but he's very down as chances of him getting back to work seem to be getting slimmer by the day, and while we need the money - and we REALLY - need the money, its as much about him doing something positive, he's always worked and while he 'does' around the house, its not how he wants to spend his time. Not being able to be a provider and not working is probably going to be his downfall anyway. Not happy times here but I'm hopeful its going to improve somehow, I just don't know how yet.
Sorry moan over, and finally positive note
NSD 1 today
So sorry to hear that Sazzie, glad it's positive news but it must be so hard to deal with for him, and for your. big hugs:lovethoug*rejoins conga line still going on from NYE* *Ouch* Did you have to wear your running spikes Cheryl; that's the third time you've caught my toeI know you want to get some wear from them, but they're no good on the Tardis flooring. Let's put some of Igor's vegetarian meatballs on them, cuz they've got enough roughage to stop you slipping
*sits out quickly to do the deed, waits for a gap then joins in again* Da-du-da-da-du-dah! Sorry
My bad! Wrong foot! la-da-de-da-da-d-daaahh *whips nsd out of back pocket & into centre of dancers with a flourish* eh-ehh-enn-nn-whoo-pah-eh-eh-ess-sus-dee-ugh-na-umb-er-1-aah*conga line continues into the distance of the lower decks of the Tardis*
