Usually the 1st of the month is rent day so not an NSD but as it is a bank holiday today i will claim it as NSD 1! Tomorrow will not be an NSD due to rent and getting food for work.0

Morning all. Would love to declare today a NSD, but wont do so quite yet, as i may go to lidl food shopping. The kids are moaning that 'there's nothing to eat', which actually means there are no cakes or biscuits.
I might see if i have enough stuff to make a cake and biscuits, instead of buying them, but not sure.
Rising- enjoy your roast!0 -
Gosh, you lot are fast! First of the month and we're already at ten pages?
Every month so far I've not quite met target (notice I do not use the F word) but I've got closer and closer, so I'm going to be brave and increase mine to 15NSD please. And also 3-in-a-row.
It's the end of the first day over here in Australia, so I can confidently declare 1NSD. Spent the day rearranging the house; our study never gets use as a study so it'd filled up as a junk room. Emptied it out and turned it into a playroom for the girls with no money spent (okay, except a pair of ten quid IKEA curtains I bought last week), and it looks fantastic. Meant I could empty out DD1's room a bit as well and rearrange what was left. So a very full day, an aching back, and a bottle of sparkling red we bought last night and didn't even open, old fuddy duddies that we are.
Tomorrow I have an entirely free day; girls are in care and I'm off work, so I'm going to make a vat of lentil curry and a vat of tomato sauce and not stray outside for any reason! 2013 is going to be The Year.
MFW diary here. 1 Feb 2017 $229,371 - MFD Feb 2043  aiming for May 2028
14 August 2017 - Refinanced: $220,000
January 2019 $211,580 Current MFD 31 June 20360 -
....I am planning on making a few New Years resolutions - trying to make 2013 a much better year, have had an awful past few weeks, resulting in major depression and a breakdown, so have decided that resolutions for the upcoming year are the way to go! I thought of treating myself at the end of each week if I manage to keep my resolutions as an incentive to turn them into habits, haven't decided on what my rewards will be yet, hopefully nothing that will involve too much spending lol! Don't drink and am trying to cut down on my sugar intake so any reward suggestions that I can use will be much appreciated!
by altering your moniker...
1) Hope your bumps & bruises are settling somewhat; apparently good old bicarb in the bath will help 'bring them out' & reduce the swelling. I suppose about a tablespoon would do?
2) DON'T underestimate the blackness of true depression PetMaking NYRezzies is fine, but just mind how you go; be gentle on yourself with any blips that occur--cuz they will happen--& come on here to have a rant about what went wrong. That's why the f-a-i-l word does not exist on this thread; if we didn't quite manage it today..
...there's always another brand new day waiting to be conquered.
3) Treats..errm..watch a dvd of your choice, all the way thru & no interruptions; read that book you've always meant to; play games (online or RL) for a guilt-free hour or so. Phone a friendwrite a letter to someone you haven't seen for a while; have a girlie swap night to exchange clothes, do each other's hair/nails or dance around the lounge like it's your own personal night club
invite pals round for a movie or board games night (have a look on the HAMPERS THREAD for ideas of bits you could buy up over the month or so while doing your grocery shop
) It may mean a bit of extra spending, but a bag of value frozen sozzie rolls taste just as good as the ready cooked ones & can be bunged in the oven while you cook dinner. Homemade POPCORN is fun to make, & with 99.9999999% of us in the same rotting finacial pedalo, you may just become a hero among your pals who could adopt the ideas & thus give you a social life for the cost of a bottle of whatever your tipple may be
Just some suggestions to consider at your leisure, & Good Luck x

Thanks BMF- i will have a look on the GC, they normally have some good recipes too
Just realised its NYDay, so not likely any shops will be open to go food shopping anyway! Might be a forced NSD!!0 -
Muvva & I shared a rather nice Shandee a la DieEt, a cheeky little number we purchase from the exclusive MrTeeee, around the middle of Corrie & came to bed around 9:30 cuz there was naff awl on her telly. She has 3view & when there's adverse weather conditions like..oh,..the sun shines too bright or..the wind has trouble moving a leaf 3" up the path--really bad stuff
--we get the No Signal Check Arial where the station should be
Still, the sun is visiting :j & we've had a lie in all the same :rotfl: so I'm off to find the teapot.
