Anyone else not got anywhere to go new years eve?

This happens every single year for at least the last 10.
All other family go off elsewhere and do their own thing we don't get an invite ever to anything.
We have kids but they stay up anyway for new year-so does anyone else do anything/go anywhere with the kids?
Would be nice to go somewhere just for a change, not quite sure why we get left out of everything.
Or is new year just for single/kid free people

We are going on the London eye and out for lunch and then home for a party food dinner

We normally meet as a family but this year it's looking like it'll just be me, my mum and my OH. We're going to get a nice bottle of wine/alcohol or two in, watch a load of trash TV and maybe play some games - and I'm really looking forward to it.
Next year, get in early and tell them around July time you want to throw your own party!£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0 -

But if this happened every year maybe you could start planning for next year! Take control of the situation0 -
Plan early! This year we have two families coming to our house, both staying the night. So we will have 6 adults, two teens, my two 8 and 5 and finally a four year old..... Luckily all the children get on and look after each other. And I am the newest grownup in the group and I have been with OH for 16 years!0

Tell us what area your in and we'll drop round.lindseykim13 wrote: »Um because everyone has already got tickets to go elsewhere and nobody would come lolFeudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -
We always go to the cinema on NYE then on to the Indian, then home, we do this regardless of whose parties we are invited to because it suits us. My DH is usually quite down on NYE as he hates it, and thinks of those who have gone.....so we are better out of the hubbub of parties.0

Hate New years eve. Cold out, costs to get in pubs, price hike drinks, cab prices up that's if you can get hold of one! Used to quite like house dos. We have 2 littlues now anyway so we get a take out, put jools on, dh falls asleep 10ish. I watch fireworks, text mum, wake dh, crash in bed. Aren't we exciting? Lol x0

This year we’re visiting friends. With kids. Friends got kids as well. One big sleep over J. HB at home J. Last year was really miserable. Stayed at home HB didn’t want to go anywhere with family, was sitting home doing nothing all the holidays and making our life difficult. The year before it was one flu for a month then after 3 days another one for a month. Both kids and me at some point. Don’t remember much, but it was really bad...0
