  • Hey Everyone :)

    How are you all ?

I had a little LBM today - i've been thinking about the money stuff which was on my to do list this week (which reminds me i MUST check my bank account - i have had to pay insurance and tax this month with nothing set aside for this) and I was thinking oh i'd better get up to speed on the 2 MS's i've picked up... then i thought well that'll be £14 earnings and then i really thought about it. Basically the 2 MS's are in different locations the swotting up on the assignment stuff, time spent travelling to each, completing assessments (no spends at either) and then travelling home and completing reports would take 3-4 hours out of my day :eek: So that works out at less that £4.67 an hour maximum. Plus there is the petrol outlay. So i have cancelled them. i will still do ms's but not at this pay level.

Instead i will challenge myself to list items on the bay of e to the value of the £14 at least - and finding, photographing and listing these will take less than an hour - heck i'll even get to the post office in that time which will save me heaps of time which i really need for my TMA and course stuff! I know that logically i could list the items and make the money from the MS's which is doubling the income but time is more important to me ;)

This weekend i got 12 newly listed items on - which is fab - either way they are 12 items going out of the house - if they don't sell on bay of e they'll go to carboot and then to charity so these are all gone for good items :T

    Today:-

i didn't ring job agency - i'm thinking next week as i need to ideally arrange to go in after getting my next assignment in.

i spent an hour on the next section of my OU stuff

i spent my lunch hour working on NVQ and will again tomorrow

Bits to add to my weekly to do list and stuff to take off too x Hope its been a good start to the week for everyone xx

  • Morning World!

    Hope everyone is well :D

I have a cuppa :coffee: and am about to start on some study :)

Any suggestions as to what to do about a buyer who has purchased a 99p item from me and has requested full refund including postage both ways (which of course is more than the cost of the item itself!!!) because its not how they thought it would be ?

My first reaction is to ignore them :o - i simply refuse to go out of pocket on this - but i know i am likely to receive my first ever bad feedback from them if this were the case. Although i'd get onto customer services about it. Just so much hassle for less than 99p profit once bay of e and paypal fees are taken into account :(

It of course does not help that i checked my bank account yesterday and have no money  Ok, not quite true i should scrape through the direct debit bills (including mortgage) and i may just have enough money to cover transport to work for the month (touch and go with this one - i need to check costs after price hikes and no wage increase) but thats it - i have absolutely nothing left for any splurges - which is a good thing :D but i have nothing left for any savings :( socialising :( etc.

Right, best get on with some study and i'll pop back in a bit x

  • Gone over some OU stuff and still more to do - today sees me going over previous OU stuff, hopefully finishing or at least getting more done on next section of OU stuff and lunch hour spent on NVQ stuff - i imagine i'll be on here tonight for a little break and catch up :p

    MS's duly cancelled.

1 item sorted out to list ready for next free listing :T Nearly halfway there already on finding items to list to the £14 value :T

Agree with positive balance, if the item is not misdescribed then I wouldn't worry. If they open up a case, they have to return it to you and you only need to refund original purchase price and postage.

If you get a neg just reply calmly to it. One isn't the end of the world however annoying it is.

  • Thanks guys - i'm not going to reply i think - they can open a case if they want  the item is as picture and as decribed - i think its just the case of, as i find with alot of on-line things - you see it and read the description but its not the same as actually seeing it, feeling texture etc. so i think its just not how they imagined it would have been if that makes sense ?

Pretty tired spent 2.5 hours on ou and 1 hr nvq - really need to spend longer on ou but really quite shattered :o

Hope to get more done tomorrow - hope you're all good xx

  • Gah! comp crashed on me so lost my message - i'm sure it wasn't anything too interesting :rotfl:

Got a couple of nice things planned in for february - meal out with friends, movies with my mr and going to the theatre :D all good stuff but since paying the tax bill, insurance and utilities bill i am well and truly scuppered on the finances :o We will see how i get on.

Pretty shattered today so i'm hoping i manage to complete the various bits and pieces i want to today and i have taken a holiday for tomorrow. I have neglected so many things this last few weeks what with TMA and tax stuff etc. and i am just finding it so hard with being so tired (thyroid). I want to use tomorrow to have a proper little catch up day. I'm a bit behind on the OU stuff so catching up with that will be a priority and i'll monitor how i go with that. The lounge is still CHAOS - thankfully mostly due to my mr so once i get my few bits cleared completely he'll see its just his junk everywhere - that is the hope anyway. The spare room is pretty inaccessible so i'll be clearing a bag from there. i also want to catch up with myself and make sure i'm on track for things that i want to do and that i'm happy with how things are right now.

    Hope everyone is good x
