I'll try to keep posting, as requested, but I'm hoping the MFW label won't apply much longer. Just heard the second instalment of my compensation money has arrived at my solicitor. Got to wait for it to clear through their bank before they post me a cheque, which has to travel through the post, and then clear through my bank, and then I'll pay off the rest and be MF without the W.
Current estimated MF day is Friday 15 August. Hmm. As I type that I realise that's the day after A-level results day. I can either have a double celebration or use the MF-dom to take my mind off the A-levels, as applicable.
It's not compulsory to have a mortgage to post here just cheer the rest of us on. I think it'll be a double celebration for you. What subject do you teach? or is it secret?Have you left yet
lol no but was going to leave today then he started being nice to me and gave me a crisp £20 extra money:eek::eek: is he reading my diary? if so cut the racist and homophobic pish - I've asked nicely but this is the 21st century matey:p and also the shouting at us all for no good reason. Had dinner with LM and came back to mine and he said he thought I should do it soon but now I'm thinking will it affect our mortgage offer? I don't earn much but even a 5 or 10K difference in the offer could mean a difference.... so perhaps I should stick it until we move? We have weapons Z;)Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

It's not secret. Any anonymity I ever had as LydiaJ was shot to pieces years ago. Although I do stop short of posting my real name or actual school.
I teach physics at an independent school. I've got two sets of results to look forward to - one set of AS and one of A2. No Y11 this year so no GCSE the week after. I'm hoping both AS & A2 will be reasonably good - I'll have to explain to my HoD otherwise. :eek:Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Well I've done the sums and me working does make a big difference in the mortgage calculator so will have to work a while longer yet suppose without working I'm just seen as a dependent rather than contributor. Still it's not that long and it's money...
Doing a bit of googling about the background behind a fascinating story a customer told me today, his wife had obviously heard it before and was rolling her eyes but when he heard I was studying history he got stuck in:rotfl::rotfl: so the job's not all bad - nice customers and entertaining tourists en route to the Games, positivity reigns:rotfl::rotfl:Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Well it won't be so bad once I'm back to weekends, it's doable - doesn't mean I like the idea but it's the sensible thing to do.Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Looking for a job elsewhere would also be equally sensible under those circumstances."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I will apply for the uni jobs but don't want another weekend job as I want a break (only until end of April when I shall try and get temp stuff for the summer).
More interestingly... why on earth were you up at that time on a weekend morning?:pMortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000
