    I think sham's are a bit poncey, with bigger borders (aka Oxford pillowcases?) &/or embroidery. So you should really buy one pair of shams and one pair of pillowcases, two sets of pillows, have the pillowcases on the bottom pair, the shams on the top then [STRIKE]toss the shams on the floor[/STRIKE] stack neatly on the side when you go to bed :).

    Yes, the ones with the bit frill/border around are Oxford pillowcases, and normal ones are "housewives'"...
