I thought you were moving to weekends only once you went back to uni?skint_spice wrote: »Hopeful of getting wee job at uni when I return...
Apply for that before quitting this one. In fact have you considered just moving jobs? Especially since you'll be coming up(ish) to <organ chords> Christmas...skint_spice wrote: »Sometimes it can be fun but mainly for the money.
Like most jobs alas... :rotfl:"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I was but I want time off before uni and won't get it unless I leave. Also I feel that I would like some time to myself at weekends instead of working them, that thing called life that I'm missing out on... can still live comfortably and pay extra/save so why suffer? Because I felt I should for some mad reason?Apply for that before quitting this one. In fact have you considered just moving jobs? not out yet but it's something that comes up a lot. Don't want to work over xmas as the exams come up and lots of deadlines for essays etc in dec just when boss feels it's ok to expect me to do sat & sun every week...Like most jobs alas... :rotfl:
I have worked before - solidly from 16 to 42 so have head screwed on, I know work isn't always fun but I don't think MSE swear filter would let me explain how I feel about this job. Some jobs are rarely fun - you must have had it cushy in your previous life...(that was a joke before you kneecap me like butti...)

Then go for it!
Just checking you'd looked at *all* the alternatives, and that course of action fitted in with what you wanted.
Well apart from you haven't considered the alternative of taking that symbol of Scotland - the Claymore - and cramming it up his backside.
Sideways.
