I've never come across Clare Barry meat before but some of the prices are quite tempting. Has anybody on here bought from there and been disappointed? The high cost of p&p for a small order puts me off a bit and £80 is rather a lot to spend to get free delivery, especially if we are not going to like the quality of the meat!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -

Just worked it out and me and bf probably eat chicken 2/3 times a week if not more but I don't feel like we do - probably depends on how many different ways you cook/serve it. e.g. one day we will have chicken wrapped in bacon served with jacket potato and veg, another it will be grilled chicken served with rice and a sauce, Sunday is always chicken dinner (grilled chicken not roasted) with gravy, roasties, yorkshires etc. It definitely doesn't feel like we eat it as often as we do!
OP, we get our chicken from Makro or Costco depending on when we are doing the bulk shop (we do one bulk shop every 6-8 weeks and then much smaller shops in between for fresh etc). If it's just us it will always be Makro, if it's with bf's mum then it may be Costco depending on what she needs. I must say I prefer Makro although I appreciate not everyone can get access to it************************************

The meat is really good from Clare Barry, I buy all mine from there.
I just do a monthy shop but often get the Mince and Chicken for my friends too to save on postage
The diced chicken is a superb deal too ( £9.99 for 4 x 400grams), normally when I have bought from supermarkets I still end up cutting bits off the chicken chunks, but Clare's is pure white meat.

If you have a Bookers nearby, or know someone with a card, I would recommend their boneless chicken fillets, they are £19.99 for 5 kg, but each fillet is a good size and they are lovely!0

I've just placed an order with Westin Gourmet, following your post. There is a special offer for new customers. The meat isn't cheap, but I hope it is as good as it looks!0 -

Personally, I won't touch skinless chicken breasts, I find them too boring and prefer chicken thighs, drumsticks, quarters, legs and wings.
Daylesford Organics taste great (Ocado, own shops, Selfridges) and not the most expensive either. Sainsbury's SO organic are OK but not as good. Abel & Cole does ace organic chicken wings but always seem to be sold out.0
