Well didn't sleep well last night because oh has a chest infection so was up and down coughing etc so I was up early pottering around.
Oh has spent the day in bed as too ill to get up. My parents were here so we ate the lunch I cooked which was scrummy.
The best part was seeing the look on my dd's face when she opened her iPhone......she was speechless as she wasn't expecting a phone - this is her first one at almost 13.
Hub and dd in bed so I am just vegging on sofa watching the crap on tv.
So disappointed with oh but it's not his fault just hope his antibiotics kick in soon. Haven't even had a drink in case I needed to take him to a&e if he couldn't breathe.0 -
Have had a lovely day all told!
Had my mum, brother & his girlfriend here with myself OH and my daughter, we all started opening pressies about 10am and then I gave then a very big surprise which left my OH shaking and my daughter in shock (in a GOOD way!). How I managed to keep it all a secret I will never know:rotfl:.
I burnt the sprouts but don't like them so not bothered.
Everyone left about 7pm and OH and I snuggled up on Sofa
Edit - Oh and I got spoilt rotten!
Come on jtr - I have seen you mention this surprise a couple of times and I have to know - WHAT IS IT?!0 -

Got home from midnight mass about 1.30am. Had some nibbles and a glass of wine. Bed at 3am and we all got up at 10.30am
We all had lovely, thoughtful presents and chocolate for breakfast
Started cooking food and went to visit family and had a little weep as first xmas without my sister
Cocktails while waiting for lunch to cook. Lunch was great, no mishaps then settled down to watch Dr Who. Went for a nap and now having nibbles and drinks:T
Tomorrow's plan cancelled on us due to ill health so now we can take up the invite we wanted to accept but couldn't cos we had plans:T:T:T:T:T~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

sorry to have left you hanging! Oh god, if it was a pregnancy that would have left my other half shaking in a not so good way :rotfl:
I booked a 4 night stay in New York in February for all three of us and neither of them had a clue! I asked OH to book leave for some rather obscure reason (knew he wouldn't question it). My travel agent kindly doctored a hotel brochure to include their names and dates of travel and I printed it off and folded it up inside a guidebook for each of them and made them open it last and at the same time.
I've been planning it for a few months now and I am so pleased it came off! Littleun went mute and the other half was grinning loads. I had to squeeze in one more trip before I get married Daisiegg
Very happily married on 10th April 2013

Not a great day here,
I have been ill all week with a sinus infection, woke up feeling unwell, dd3 woke up having the runs all in her onesie:eek:
So the day started with the bath and washing machine up and running!
Felt so ill after pressie opening that i went back to bed from 10am to 1pm.
Only got up cos dd3 got a phone call from mickey mouse, so cute to hear her laugh.
Some nice pressies but dd2 thought that buying my present from the argos value range would be fine, but bought her stepdad a nike t shirt and wii game.:(
DD3 behaved awful all day,
no one ate dinner as we all felt unwell.
Roll on next year, maybe we'll get it right next year lol.
Hugs for all those who were ill and others who for whatever reason found this year a trial.:)SIMPLY BE-££577.11:eek:

Damn it!
I just forgot I was going to go round and help my Mum unzip her dress before she went to bed. I went round there this morning just after she'd got out of the shower and she had a piece of string through her zip, trying to pull it up. This is the first Christmas since my Dad died and although we all miss him so much, it's little things like this, when he's not there to help with a simple thing as pulling up an out of reach zip, that it really hits home. Mum was here for lunch and I phoned her later on to say I would go round, but she said not to bother coming out. I forgot, and I think she did, about that blessed zip.
My Mum is 80 and looked gorgeous btw. :A
