Well if I'm not a septic then then let Thor strike me down with his hammer and send me to Val Halle.

Recently I have mentioned Karma, a journo, a table with 4 straight backed chairs and a story/script.

I have not previously seen anything of the film Life of Pi apart from the trailer with the Indian guy and his tiger on his lifeboat. Imagine the shock I had when all of the above are mentioned/ featured in this film.

I'm sooo glad because I can rest easy now, I was getting a bit creeped out by it all, phew. I sometimes get psychic attacks and the last time there were unfortunate consequences  but wow is all I can say.

Had an excellent day today, another little bit of weirdness landed on my table quite literally. Anyway for what ever reason I had a little card saying if you get a Buddha to rub his tum to attract good fortune and you must always invite a new Buddha into your home (as opposed to just taking him home and plonking him by the fire lol). I thought this was a little sign so I shall ask for a Buddha and see what happens.

Just thought I'd send that out to everyone because it might just help someone.

I believe in Karma and it is not necessary to do anything to anyone, all you have to do is sit back and watch because the other person will always 'have successes or troubles depending'.

Have an absolutely cracking New Year's Evening and if you sing Auld Lang Syne then please remember my birth date twin - Robert Burns.

    Hello again

Well I have been busy so far declaring my controllable budgets for the £4k thread, a nsd no1 on the lovely NSD thread, posted my spends so far for the month on the grocery challenge and the take your lunch to work threads :) and finally dear diary attending to you.

In between this I have been looking at houses and land for sale. I so far have the husband on board for the saving pennies bit but it will take a little bit more effort to persuade him to go for land rather than a house. I did mention my Father's G2 barn conversion but he still isn't convinced.

Not to worry, saving the money is to be the task in the first instance. I think I shall alter my signature to reflect this.

I had also momentarily forgotten that DH has 2 savings schemes on the go one matures at the same time as mine next year and the other about 18 months afterwards. That will mean a few extra thousands to add to the pot.

Super, smashing, great, off to have a looksy for a Buddha now :D btw did I mention my target is £10k for the year?

    Good moaning :D

Fantastic morning - yippee! Both boys are in holiday club and I have a study day ahead, accounts woo-hoo. Need to get my head down as I don't want to ruin my distinction score :)

The take your lunch to work thread is doing well, there are some great people on there and they are saving some serious money too :T I think the autonomous approach is the better way thereby giving the individual the freedom of choice. I don't go in for all this 'follow me everyone and do as I say' kind of dictatorship - which is the sign of a bad manager incidentally. Everyone leads a different life to the next person and whilst their lives may appear similar more often they are not. Just imagine if there had been a list of rules thus ; Mon - cheese sarnie, Tues - Cheese and tom sarnie, Weds - Cheese and onion sarnie etc. Boredom would set in very quickly. No give the people the opportunity to make their own choices I say.

That being said I shall go and have breakfast as I am drooling at the thought of food

    Drop by later.

Yep I'm still here rabbiting away :D, I think I might have the odd person or two keeping up as well.

Things are looking great, I'm on the start of my 5 year plan and I want to make the most of the journey- no room here for moaning Minnies or shirtie Berties lol.

    Howdy yall

Had a splendid day today at work, all the girls seemed to have enjoyed their Christmases and new years. I'm not into Christmas really, it's more of a kids thing but I do love the start of a shiney new year - yippee :j it's a time to make a start on the many plans I have whizzing around my brainbox.

The current decision is which course to study next. Ooo decisions, decisions. I have a few days yet to decide which to do first but whatever it is I will enjoy it as there is plenty of room in my head for more information. I love learning and since I won't be getting myself caught up in student loans it feels so much better :T

Just checked my mortgage and the amount we could save this year could see us paying the whole lot offski without penalty and thereby freeing more money up every month. I will have to stash it somewhere safe though just in case my lovely husband gets ideas of buying that Jag he wants :D

The TYLTW thread seems to be popular with people and there are a really good bunch offering hints and tips but most importantly support to each other. Everyone is an equal which is exactly as it should be, who knows maybe another member might like to take a turn in hosting the thread. I will have to ask the question on there towards the end of the month, though I am perfectly content to continue as is if that is preferred, what will be will be.

Lastly I think Karma has manifested itself in different areas from what I have seen and heard, some good, and some bad, but no matter what, it is set.

I cannot wait to see what tomorrow brings, but for now I shall chill with my Dear Heart

Yes thanks eco and hello lol.

Hello elantan I shall be looking over your diary thread this weekend, in between doing the accounts assignment of course :D

It was a nice day in work today, tarnished only by a colleague from another office who is experiencing troubles :o I find the best thing to do in these circumstances is to lend a listening ear and perhaps offer practical solutions but try not to get involved too much. I am soo glad I don't work in personnel is all I can say.

It's funny how everything seems to go in cycles and circles and this seems to be magnified in work for some reason. Never mind I got on with my job and hummed away to myself all day. a positive frame of mind really does make all the difference to even the most boring of tasks like filing for instance.

As far as the savings go my DH has pinged me some money over though I haven't checked how much just yet - I will let it be a lovely surprise :) however much it turns out to be it will go straight into my savings account safely tucked out of harms way.

Hope everyone has a lovely evening. I need to tripsy over to the giving up alcohol thread as it's Friday night and there's a bottle in the kitchen calling 'drink me' and I must resist it at all costs!
