Despatch time of 1 working day over Xmas?

I've just unexpectedly sold an item with a working day despatch time and the buyer paid immediately.
Obviously the the Post Offices are shut tomorrow and I'm guessing they won't reopen until the 27th.
I'm sure the buyer recognizes this, but does eBay? I'll honestly declare the item desptched on the 27th and confirm this in my feedabck for the buyer, but will my true despatch time 'technically' be outside the 1-day despatch time?
I'd like to think 1-day despatch times don't include public holidays, but with eBay, you never know! Could anyone confirm?

It makes no difference as it is only the buyer who gives you stars not eBay and if buyer recognises the post office issue then that shouldn't be an issue.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Bank Holidays are not a working day so it won't be classed in the despatch time. You could message the seller and advise it will be posted on the next working day which is he 27th as the post office is closed.Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -
eBay will estimate despatch as the 27th but its best to message the buyer just to let them know.Hi. I'm a Board Guide on the Gaming, Consumer Rights, Ebay and Praise/Vent boards. I bought a xbox headset this morning, the daft kitten ate through the cable and my boy is not happy.
That was marked with 1 day delivery and estimated delivery friday/saturday, I am not expecting it to be here this week and I don't think any reasonable person would expect delivery so soon after christmas.2011 Sealed Pot Challenge #1238 hoping for £250 ~ saved £743.32

This is when you get an idiotic non-reasonable buyer demanding to know where the item is on Thursday.0

The only thing with that is that by messaging the buyer, this will override my default DSR 5-star rating for communication and allow the buyer to select a lower star value.Chickabiddybex wrote: »eBay will estimate despatch as the 27th but its best to message the buyer just to let them know.
Yep, you got it in one! Some would say it's cynicism, but I'd say it's a conclusion based on prior selling experience! This is when you get an idiotic non-reasonable buyer demanding to know where the item is on Thursday.

Well my item arrived this morning after ordering Christmas Day.
Needless to say this seller got glowing feedback and top stars, just wish some sellers were as quick at normal times of the year.2011 Sealed Pot Challenge #1238 hoping for £250 ~ saved £743.32
