Ok I promised myself a new pair of boots after xmas (well hubby said before xmas he would get them so I am getting them and he is paying ;))

I am going to go for uggs but seeing some of the earlier comments about size I wanted to ask about ordering online. I am normally a size 5 shoe but would buy ordinary boots in 5.5.

Can anyone advise me re uggs for size. Please

    TIA :)

My daughter has 3 pairs and says to go for 1/2 size larger. She has the care kit and cleans them regularly. She sold her 4th pair second hand on EBay when she was short of money recently. They were 4 years old and sho got nearly £100.00

Wish I lived near there, I kind of used to, until I was 16 I lived in Wood Green.

The last auction me and my mum went to many years ago was a rip off one, we get well and truly done like kippers. But we didn't lose a lot and nearly wet ourselves laughing on the bus on the way home.:o:o

Ah, I know Wood Green, used to go there a lot for shopping when I was a teenager. There was a shop called What She Wants where my sister and I bought a pair of roller skates when roller discos were all the go :rotfl:. Used to got to Picketts Lock, thought I was fab :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    There, all caught up....
Had to have a day off as OH was discharged yesterday evening and he was in a terrible state.
He couldn't lift his feet, so I couldn't get him in the car, out again or sit on the sofa.
Tried to get him into bed and it was too low.
Sat up all night as he was full of anaesthetic and codeine and was groaning and talking.I was afraid he would try to move and split his stitches.
Today he is a lot better and is refusing all meds.
The wound has been bleeding and his torso is covered in blood, right down to his knees but I was told not to try to clean him up as he is so bruised and cannot bath/shower till tuesday, ugh!!
To top the lot he told me he had a bleed during the op, obvious now and that he got off the trolley in the recovery room to find the loo....there was nobody there and the man next to him started shouting.
So as yu can see I've got my work cut out !!!!
for those that like pain (men, look away), he had an inguinal scrotal hernia repair ouch.

Poor thing, I bet he's in a lot of pain. Hope he feels better soon :)

Thanks thats what I will do. I am not worried about being totally honest about it. I wish I had found MSE years ago and had not got any credit cards. Went to Morrisons with OH today and with an APG and a gift card ( OH got it when he complained about bad service in the new cafe) we got £22.00 worth of shopping for just over £2.00.
Quite excited about job prospect as it is 4 days a week from 7.00 to 11.00 a.m leaving plenty of time for glitching!

I would just be honest and go for the job. I use to run a big cash office for Wilkinson and on a Monday I could bank £250, 000 in cash plus Chqs and cards. Also used to train for other stores.
All cash offices have cctv in at all times and anything you do on pc is tracked by head office so I don't really see why they need to do a credit check on you, surely
they don't do a credit check on all cashiers. If your work is monitored properly then there is no way money could go missing.

I think the bit about a credit check might just be to deter some people from applying. I would have thought a criminal record check would be sufficient for the job.
if refused the job on a credit check then surely that would be discrimination. You could have friends who are armed robbers which would, to be honest, be the only way you could get money out of there.

Results are in. On the first receipt, as I said earlier, they bought the Heinz soups at 50p each. They also bought the Jammie Dodgers, on rollback, and the Bold washing powder (£3 compared to significantly more expensive elsewhere). Should have bought those items in T or S!!

The second shop has given a voucher for 98p. It's the comparison vs Morries that has triggered the voucher, but mainly due to the failure to pick up the Semi-Skimmed Milk (it's actually £1.49 x2 for M). And the Kingsmill pancakes have also returned N/A, which might have also helped.

Due to the ASDA Price Guarantee, you're entitled to a voucher of £0.98:

    Why £0.98?

Lol!! I managed to pick up a receipt discarded by a Sada colleague.:rotfl: I didn't notice the discount on the original receipt - so the voucher has been reduced by 10%. Does anyone think I'll have probs. using it as "Discount Given" is printed on the receipt?

(Turns out they bought the 'right' milk after all, just because the APG happens not to be picking up the Semi-skimmed at this precise moment vs Morries, although not the 'right' milk that I considered right, namely the 1% milk vs S.)
