On a lighter note...OH came back with the car and I have been to T's:D Had a really lovely SA and she took all my vouchers, plus some more that I found in my pocket:D she was fab. My shop came to nearly £50, but only cost me £10:j I used a £5 sada, apg, £3 off WYS £30 mailing. Loads and loads of other mocs too:)

Couldn't see any 1p CD players or cheap toothbrushes (signs taken down) Did find some candle lighters on a clip strip that scanned at 50p (sienna gold). Got a couple of these. Wombled 3 receipts. This is a first for my T's:) I hate waiting 24 hours for results:D

I popped to Sainsbobs too, but they don't stock the bogof tissues!

HopePray so sorry to hear your bad news, hope everyone recovers quickly, dont wear yourself out, make sure you look after yourself x

Does anyone know what phone was cheap in t's please i dont know how to search thread doh!

The phones that were mispriced, i.e priced up at half price but scanning at full price so that you get double the difference refunded due to being overcharged were a panasonic range. I got the twin set Panasonic KX-TG5522 sel £49.50 charged £99 and got back £99 dtd. The single phones of this range should also scan at dearer price if you can find an out of date sel.

Hope you soon warmed up and are feeling better today.

Thank you yes I've warmed up but in a bad mood today a bit fed up :( in general
  • i was told few days before aswell supricly my o/h grandad is upbeat and determained to beat it , i hope he dose cant imagine life without him and the tales we chat about the betting shop he think im asc as i worked in betting shop and if he cant get out i go put his bets on for him or we do it together , it reminds me of when i was little and my grandad used to take me and cousian tobetting shop after telling my nan we were going park,

we loved the betting shop free pens and paper and used to get few £ from the old guys :rotfl::rotfl:

aw bless him - he sounds the same as my dear old granddad (who we also lost to cancer but he decided to keep that little nugget to himself as he didn't want sympathy) He was given 6 months but lasted 3 years, probably because we all treated him exactly the same as we always had done, had a laugh, a dance and a joke with him. Betting shop was mystical magical place when I was little too - complete with smoky atmosphere - and we couldn't get enough of those pens and slips :rotfl:

Don't suppose there's a ever right time ever to tell someone news like that though and glad he's upbeat about it. My uncle is doing the exactly the same, doesn't want a fuss. He's getting an op in January so he's keeping positive about that. Ironically, my granddad above was his dad.

All we can do is just be there for them xx

David and FloFlo, there are stages of grief and everyone goes through them at differing times, anger, blame and guilt all figure, what you are going through is normal.
I was doing a councelling course while my Dad was dying and couldnt finish it, it was a bit too close to home at the time, but it helped me to realise that what my siblings were going through was different....but at the same time the same.
    HTH a little.

Well I must have moved on a bit as I stopped speaking to my one brother when he was very insensitive the day after our mum's funeral but I was able to visit him when he was in hospital recently without wanting to batter him. So hopefully I am on the right road.;)

Have to agree with regards NHS if I had the money I would go elsewhere.

I was hospitalised for 6 months with placenta previa. One night a nurse tried to give me an injection to stop my blood from clotting. Even argued with me about it, saying I must take it. I spent half an hour explaining I would be dead by the morning if I had the injection. She just wouldn't listen, treated me like I was nuts.

I showed her my notes where it said I was losing lots of blood every night and explained I needed my blood to clot to survive it.

She flounced off in a huff saying it was my life.

unbelievable:mad: glad you are here to tell your story. x
