  • Sorry can't remember who was asking but someone needed a charger for their Kindle.

I have a single socket version of this but the link below takes you to a 4 socket, 2 USB extension lead. The only downside is it's a 1m cable but it does have surge protection and the plus side is the 4 socket is £8.99 while the single socket is £9.99!

Vegas is like Disneyworld for adults, have you been before? Have you checked out the Vegas thread on here in the Overseas holiday section, they have fantastic tips. I ahve only been once back around 2000 and loved it, I would love to go back.

Been to Vegas loads of times its getting so big now but there is a place just outside town with an old fashioned cowboy town with a wedding chapel which as you face the altar there is a large window which overlooks a canyon, if I was ever going to get married, which I'm not, that would be the place I would do it.

Pun intended ;) I like your style :p

Been a hectic few days visiting family & friends. Will be glad once the calm has returned after the holiday season though it's made catching up on here very quick. How was your Xmas PLB?

In my thoughts and prayers xxx

I shall also join you in saying a goodbye to 2012, the worst year of my life.

I have to agree we've had some bad years but I think this one has been truly awful :(

Well, what a bit of a palaver! I decided to bring forward my Sains (vs Sada) shopping to tonight, as we had ran out of taters (yes I know those at T's are slightly cheaper but T is farther away to travel).

The brand match came back around £5 less than expected (not in itself a problem since I can ring HQ later and get the rest back - and in a way that means I don't now have to spend as much in one go). Instead of using the BM coupon next week (which was going to be just under £10) towards a £20 shop that was £10 cheaper at T (and all N/A at A of course!), I thought oh, may as well do another shop straight after, as I won't have to spend a further £10 in excess of my BM to get a new BM back and I'll forget doing the S v T comparison altogether.

Quickly went back into the store, to pick up some whoopsies that I'd seen earlier (but hadn't wanted to risk them comparing S's reduced price to a full price at Sada) and then struggling around trying to find the other £4 or so - and avoiding all items on which S is cheapest but which are avail. in A (never buy in S anything cheaper than A as you can get 10% cheaper than S's price through the APG). Tried to find the Tulip Ham that A don't stock, only to find it was OOS in the S store. Even picked up two of the Cirio Tomato Puree at one stage - cost £1.59 for one, or buy any 2 for one pound. But no-one in my house likes tomato puree so put them back.

Finally settled on two packs of the big size of the Bernard Matthews Turkey nuggets not stocked in A (worked out cheaper per unit than the Birds Eye chicken nuggets on £2.49). Then got to the till and the amount came to 6p more than the BM - and then (I never make a scene when shopping of course) found I had no change in my pocket - only the £1 coin in the trolley so had to leave all the items at the till (customers queueing behind) whilst I went back to the trolley park (did have my debit card, but didn't feel like using it for just 6p).

Never mind - at least the store was (at this time of night) quite quiet and didn't have all the holiday shoppers causing traffic chaos and rushing around in the day (probably buying all the Tulip Ham). And I least I ended up with two bags of potatoes, to last us into next week, as put one on my second shop.

Think it was the Moshi Monster bath & shower gel (the 500ml version), which is £3 at S but currently £1 at A that the BM system didn't pick up - bought 2 of them, so that's what it seems to be. I'll admit I delayed in mentioning this product here, as I didn't want a stampede to Sains. selling the product out before I'd got there - but at least you know that the item appears to be returning N/A on the BM until it is sorted out (which I'm sure it will be, asap albeit not immediately, after I contact them about it).
