I can relate to your whole post regarding the care or lack of that my mother received in the moths spent in hospital leading up to her passing away.
Too many "accidents" to mention and I have stored them in a dark corner of my brain where the thoughts don't bother me so much.
But it is the last sentence that I quoted that strikes a chord. I ended up having to see a counsellor to assist me getting over my grief/trauma. My counsellor actually advised me to let all my complaints go as the docs/nurses would all back each other up and it would end up having an even worse effect on my mental state. He actually told me they would most probably "drive me insane" I took his advice and never really looked back.
This rings such a bell with me I had to reply. I too have these episodes locked away in a dark corner as I blame myself for not doing more and for insisting that she went into hospital in the first place (not that there was another option). I honestly feel that it isn't so much her passing that is still affecting me but the way it happened. I can't even face going to the crematorium where her ashes are buried as I feel I failed her. I know people think you embelllish, exaggerate, add bits on when you retell bad experiences but I can honestly say I don't need to, it was beyond neglect the treatment that my mum got, I tried contacting patient services etc and got nowhere. No point now as we can't bring her back.0 -

David and FloFlo, there are stages of grief and everyone goes through them at differing times, anger, blame and guilt all figure, what you are going through is normal.
I was doing a councelling course while my Dad was dying and couldnt finish it, it was a bit too close to home at the time, but it helped me to realise that what my siblings were going through was different....but at the same time the same.
HTH a little.

Saw this originally on the student's thread but it's been OOS, thanks to them for posting. Just been on line and good news, it's back in stock. The phone is £15, but if you buy it with an o2 sim (ideal if you want to register for o2 Moments
) it's just £5. This deal sold out very quickly before. I've just bought 3 for the family to use, ideal for festivals or to leave in the glove box for emergencies.
Link below is for the phone, you need to add this to your basket first

This is the link for the sim, you need to add this too to get the price down to £5 for both
