Just back from a zumbathon :eek: my legs don't know what hit them, they're very tired! But I spent £2 on raffle tickets, and won myself a hamper of free zumba classes, bottle of wine, socks, sweat bands! So worth it all in the end.
Spagbol I wanted to let you know, I went to wait rose to pick up some 10 bean mix today, and it's all on 3 for 2. I picked up some others while I was at it.
Been looking into switching banks lately, but apparently I can't open a new account anywhere, because I'm on the electoral role in the city I stay for work (where i spend most time) but all my ID is registered at my parents still (I move around a lot, so my parents is my permanent address). I'm going to have to change it now, which is a right pain! If I forget to change when I move, someone else might pick them up and do all manner of things with my details... But I could get a bonus if I switch, which I would like! They don't half make life awkward...0 -
Can I join?! I think my figure has done up to about £1400
....
 How did I let it get such a mess? :eek:0 -
we seem to have nothing to pay
I know exactly what you mean, there's hardly any payments out and virtually no post either with various statements and bills :TI want too move more into our savings but still can't get out of that mentality that there must be a bill that needs payingI suppose this is not a bad thing as don't want to get too comfortable and start spending 'cos we can'
I move a lump sum into savings on payday and leave about £300 in the current account 'just in case'. I then PAD around £10 per day also into savings - the theory being that if some money is needed then I'll have it, but the risk reduces the closer it gets to the next paydayI was a DFW, now I'm a MFW :T0 -

I've spent this evening rummaging around the house for games/CDs and DVDs to send to Music Magp1e - apparently the mass of stuff I've found is worth £70.07 - not too shabby! The only things they wouldn't take are Shaun of the Dead and a Busted CD I had lying around upstairs - will have to charity shop it at some point as I really don't listen to it anymore - honest!!
Did take something back out of the MM box though - Jillian Michaels collection of DVDs - they offered £3 for it - hoping for £17ish on Amazon - come on you new years resolutioners!!0 -
Nice on Ruby, I think I got up to about £15 and thought pffft I paid WAY more than that for those, I'll keep them haha! I have no idea where I've put them now, they're in one of many "to-fleabay" boxes, like you do.
I've just found a REALLY good yoga DVD, if you look on Am4zon it's one with 4 dvds earth (easy), water, original, fire. The first one is hard enough for us beginners at the moment, and you need to put your legs up a wall at the end!!! Must find wall.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

We're looking at investing in property, so I'm going to get a mortgage by myself first and we'll get somewhere about £150K ish, so defo need a £25k deposit. I'm aiming to save £10k this year, we have £2k so far from his Grandad as a gift, and I should get some inheritance from my late Grandad shortly as well as my sister paying back the loan, so that'll take us to 10k. It's all reallllly scary though isn't it, mortgages, houses, savings, I've never saved in my life. Debt to be paid off first though, mine and OH has £10k of his very own. Eep!
Oh how exciting! I would love to invest in propertyWell I'd put it on the calendar in that case.
Has anyone else noticed that with money saving they have become more organised? I now have a calendar, a budget, an organised social life, a tidier flat...etc...
Um...no! :rotfl:Can I join?! I think my figure has done up to about £1400....
